Fabulous faux flowers and greenery for your home

17th May 2023 by Georgina Hockley 3 Min Read

https://expatliving.sg/artificial-flowers-fake-plants-and-faux-flowers-at-lux-interior-collection/

There’s nothing that brings me more joy than decorating my home with beautiful flowers. Large bouquets of fresh flowers can be expensive and have a limited life, so I’ve been thinking about investing in high-quality artificial flowers and fake plants. It seems YVONNE MILLER is on my wavelength, as she’s started a luxury faux flower and greenery brand Lux Interior Collection. I caught up with Yvonne to hear about the inspiration for her business.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your family.

I’m Singaporean born and bred. I met my lovely British husband Chris in 2013 when he was travelling through Singapore for work, and within a few months of meeting he moved here. These days, we live between Singapore and the UK, and we love travelling and exploring different countries along the way. If I had to identify a passion in life, it would have to be home styling. I’ve been told I have an eye for beautiful and high-quality home décor and accessories.

How did Lux Interior Collection begin?

We renovated our home in the UK in 2020 and engaged a fantastic interior designer for the fit-out. We discovered the stunning artificial flower and faux greenery arrangements made by RTfact flowers. The collection is meticulously handcrafted by floral stylists in their studio in Surrey, and the quality is exceptional. During our home design process we also found some striking and luxurious home accessories to furnish our abode.

Ambitiously, we embarked on a second renovation in 2022, this time in Singapore. We realised very quickly that there was nothing here quite like the fake flowers, faux greenery and high-end home interior décor we had found in the UK. I just knew that I had to bring it all back to home shores. We partnered with UK suppliers to import the products painstakingly into Singapore, and Lux Interior Collection was born.

Tell us about your beautiful range of faux flowers.

Not all artificial flowers are created equal! The reason our blooms look just like the real thing is because they’re made from silk by hand to be botanically correct. They are then arranged by a team of professional florists into breath-taking bouquets and flown here from the UK.

Our faux flower arrangements are available in a variety of sizes from a small bouquet for a bedside table, to a mid-sized arrangement for a side console or a statement centrepiece for a dining room. You can select a beautiful vase or pot to complement your style from a range of tones in ceramic, metal, stone and glass.

How are your fake plants different from others on the market?

I immediately fell in love with the faux greenery arrangements the moment I laid eyes on them. I’d honestly never seen anything like them before. I think it’s because they are impeccable imitations of some of my favourite botanicals: philodendron, dianthus, succulents and vanilla bush (to name a few). It also helps that they’re arranged in quality, elegant vessels including stone lattice pots, carved glass vases, black metal vases and gold dimpled bowls. They’re more than just fake plants, they’re art pieces!

Do you have stock of your artificial flowers and fake plants in Singapore?

Yes! We have stock for most of our range in Singapore, and we offer next-day delivery. If you’re hosting an event and urgently need your artificial flowers and faux greenery, we can get them to you same day!

Your arrangements are incredible both in terms of quality and design. What’s the price point?

Our faux flowers and fake plants are priced from S$100 onwards, depending on the size and type of arrangement. Compared to purchasing a bouquet of fresh flowers that usually last up to two weeks, our arrangements stay looking fresh for a lifetime! So they’re actually a very affordable investment, like other permanent décor items in your home. And they can be moved around the house to change the décor whenever you feel like a refresh!

Do you take bespoke orders?

We can create a unique arrangement on request. Just email us describing your ideal arrangement, and we can work with you to make it happen.

You also stock some lovely homeware accessories. Tell us more!

Besides our faux flowers and greenery, we also have a good range of home accessories to complement the arrangements. These are hand-selected and imported from the UK and Netherlands and include trays, boxes, frames and sculptures.

What do you love about your new business?

I’ve always been passionate about home interior styling and it’s exciting that I’ve found a niche in the Singapore market for high-quality faux arrangements. I love that I’m now able to research, source and supply unique items from Europe. It’s very satisfying helping customers add the finishing touches to their beautiful homes.
