Nothing says well-groomed quite as beautifully as immaculate hands and feet. Want to know where to get your nails done? Here are our reviews of top nail salons in Singapore for a good manicure or pedicure!
Urban Company – Pedicure at home!
“I always look forward to getting my nails done, but often find it hard to squeeze in an appointment when work gets busy. So when I heard about Urban Company, it sounded heaven sent! This mobile app lets you book home services on demand, including a manicure, haircut, lash extensions and, most recently, facials. The booking process is fast and fuss-free; after downloading the app and creating your account, simply browse their menu of premium home and beauty services. I went for a classic pedicure with an extended leg massage – $51 in total.
With close to 10 years of experience in nail salons, my manicurist Elly was friendly, professional, and incredibly detailed. She worked through a series of steps efficiently, from thoroughly cleaning out the gunk from my cuticles to expertly painting on a fresh and even coat of nude polish on my toenails. Every tool used was well-sanitised and Elly had her mask on throughout the entire session. Even the nail filer and toe separators used are disposable for safety and hygiene.
You only need to set aside a small space at home (I did mine in the living room) for your appointment; do make sure it’s a comfy spot, though, as you’ll be sitting for an hour or so. I was super impressed by Elly’s service, and wouldn’t hesitate to request her the next time I book on my Urban Company app!”

Trimmings Salon & Spa – Manicure & Pedicure
“I’ve never been one to fuss over my nails but a visit to Trimmings Salon & Spa changed all that. Occupying a chic enclave in Dempsey, this go-to spot is actually a spa as well as a hair-and-nail salon rolled into one.
Service is swift and personable, and I was ushered into a smaller, sunlit room as soon as I arrived. There’s not a bad view in the house: the lush greenery is visible through the picture window, and I had a stack of gossip magazines and my drink of choice – ginger and lemongrass, freshly made! – within reach.
As ambient music played in the background, nail therapist Shan (who has over 10 years of experience) and her equally amenable colleague set to work on my nails. They were gentle yet meticulous – there was zero discomfort, and they even threw in a little scrub and massage. I went with Shan’s recommendation for the colour, and am really pleased with the results. Of course, Busy Beckys could also get a manicure or pedicure while they’re having their hair done – talk about efficiency!
Apparently, Trimmings also offers medical pedicure and sports pedicure to address a number of skin-related issues; these are popular among men too. My husband has been troubled by his cracked heels (caused by eczema) for several months now – guess where I’d like to head next for date night!”

Beaute Nails – Gel Manicure & Treatment
“Never underestimate the power of pampering! In a year that’s testing our limits, a little bit of self-care goes a long way and can help keep our mental health in check. If you’re looking to treat yourself without burning a hole in your pocket, Beaute Nails has a hard-to-beat promo package that promises an hour of bliss. For $58 (usually $364!) you can enjoy an express gel manicure and foot callus treatment and a finishing layer of Beaute Nails Vitamin E sunblock.
Blocking an hour between meetings, I put this pamper package to the test at Beaute Nails’ Suntec branch. The swaddling effect of velvet drawn curtains and comfortable plush seats quickly starts putting my mind and body at ease. Likewise, the staff are covered top-to-toe in safety gear; cleanliness is a top priority here.
After selecting a bright duck-egg blue from the selection of non-toxic (and pregnancy-friendly) Korean gel nail colours, the team of two begin working their magic. My feet emerge from a warm foot bath and are lathered in Beaute Nails’ signature serum; this helps to condition and soften the calluses and dead skin. They’re then wrapped and placed in heated pouches for 20 minutes. Next, a foot file is vigorously taken to every inch of them. The nail technician then proudly presents me with my own dead skin; not to be too graphic, but it’s a lot. One thing’s for certain: I don’t think my feet have been this soft and supple since I was in nappies!
The team finish in a synchronised fashion and I’m left a meticulous set of nails and what feel like brand new feet. It’s worth every penny to get me revitalised before going back to the grind!”

Walking on Sunshine – Foot Spa
“Arriving from the hot bustle of Orchard Road, the third level of Orchard Central is an oasis of lush greenery, wood furniture and friendly staff. Greenery-draped structures are cleverly used to define areas for a café and beauty salon; you feel like you’re in your own private space.
The great part about the combination of café and salon is that when you have a pedicure, you’re offered a healthy salad. (Mine was smoked chicken, soft-boiled egg, barley and greens with a goma dressing.) There are also shakes, fresh juices and other yummy drinks (butter cream latte, perhaps?), and regular tea and coffee options. Ensconced in the leather massage chair, I tucked into lunch, while the lovely Alda (who used to work at The American Club) proceeded with my treatment of choice: the callus and cracked heel treatment with classic pedicure ($120, 90 minutes). The salon area is light and airy – with double height ceilings and one whole wall of glass looking over Orchard Road.
The final treatment (after extensive dead skin removal) was a heel scrub and balm from Korean brand Thessak. My feet have never been so soft, and my tummy never so satisfied after a pedicure!”
