An Irish Night to Remember
The St. Patrick’s Society Annual Ball once again celebrated Irish culture, bringing together performers and guests for an evening of music and dance, starting with the Lion City Pipe Band, followed by a duet from Just My Imagination. Irish Dance Singapore then presented a lively routine, before Gan Ainm led the crowd into social dancing, and Fractal Mode hosted a midnight session to keep the energy going! stpatssingapore.org
Young Champions Unite!
The annual Worldwise Primary Games brought nearly 500 Year 4 to 6 students from nine schools across the EiM Family of Schools to Dulwich College (Singapore) for three days of sport, connection and joyful celebration. The Games offer students a chance to experience global friendship at a young age, building confidence and independence as they navigate new environments and cheer alongside peers from around the world.
Roman Revival
The stage was set, the daggers were drawn… and the talent was undeniable! This year’s Senior School production of Julius Caesar at NLCS (Singapore) was a resounding success, brought to life by over 60 students across cast and crew. From the lighting design to the nuanced performances of their leads, the production showcased creativity and collaboration. The directors said they were immensely proud of the collective effort, noting that every contribution from the intense choreography of the assassination scenes to the meticulous crafting of spears and shields was vital to the show’s impact.
Pause, Breathe, Reconnect
Sensorial boutique PAÑPURI hosted an intimate wellness session that invited guests to pause and reconnect with themselves through a guided yoga experience. The event focused on a calm, mindful flow supported by breathwork and quiet reflection. It was inspired by Thai wellness traditions and included the introduction of a sea-inspired fragrance, Andaman Sails, encouraging a deeper sense of focus and awareness.
Strength & Control
The Flow Studio recently invited individuals curious about Reformer Pilates to take their first step towards a more mindful routine. Held at Cluny Court, the session introduced beginners to essential techniques, with participants learning how to activate the right muscles and adjust movements to suit their ability, all guided by an instructor. The class helped attendees build stability, strength and body awareness in a supportive setting, so they could gradually gain confidence and a better understanding of their movement.
Sunrise, Stillness, Renewal
Sleep wellness brand Heveya hosted a morning event, “Sunrise with Heveya”, to mark World Sleep Day on 13 March. The session took place at Tanjong Beach, where the team from Soma Haus guided participants through Yoga Nidra, meditation and breathwork using headphone instruction. The experience was designed to help individuals rest deeply, reset the nervous system and reconnect with themselves. There were light snacks and a specially prepared drink made with Balinese ingredients, too. The event encouraged a slower, more mindful start to the day.
Stories Flowing Through Art
Last month’s “A River of Time” exhibition at Serenity Gallery in the Bras Basah Complex featured the works of the late artist Tong Chin Sye. At the exhibition opening, the artist’s son, Louis Tong, delivered a speech that shared the stories behind the paintings and took us back to old Singapore.
Quiz Night
The British Association held its AGM (combined with a fun quiz!) at Carnaby in Robertson Quay last month. It was a great night, with prizes up for grabs including wine, an F&B voucher from Carnaby, a UFIT package, and some subscriptions to our mag, of course!
