Our world is filled with wild wonders that ignite our love for adventure, exploration and understanding. No one knows this better than Steve and Sara Cameron. The couple met while travelling through Africa and now help others find secret destinations and uncover life-changing experiences through their specialist tour company African Wildlife Safaris & Natural Focus. We take a look at the travel itinerary for three of their upcoming escorted small group tour packages that delve into the wilds of Africa or travel in India to find jungles, temples and tigers.
#1 A travel itinerary – a safari in Zambia
From the migrating herds creating dust clouds across wide savannahs to misty mountains and colourful tribal traditions, Africa is a continent of constant intrigue. It’s no surprise that so many people dream of experiencing a taste of this intoxicating part of the world. And one of the best ways to do this is on a safari in Zambia!
On this escorted tour, you’ll step away from busy tourist areas and head into the wilds of Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park and along the mighty Zambezi River. During the peak wildlife viewing season, this specially curated safari is designed as an off-the-beaten-track experience. You’ll stay in small but comfortable bush camps and lodges along the way.
The tour includes game drives and walking and canoeing safaris amongst the wildlife. Expect to see herds of elephants and antelope, hippos in the rivers and crocodiles on the banks. It’s an all-inclusive safari where you can relax and focus on taking in the wonders of Zambia. Moreover, you’ll be escorted by Steve Cameron, the CEO of African Wildlife Safaris, and led by expert guides.

#2 Botswana classic safaris
In Africa’s Okavango Delta, sparkling lagoons are the stage for a flourishing array of flora and fauna. This pristine area is home to the continent’s iconic animals, including lions, elephants, leopards and hippos, along with antelope species such as the lechwe and the shy sitatunga.
This all-inclusive tour is scheduled for the prime game viewing season and takes on an “African safari of old” ethos, including mobile camping. The travel itinerary includes days exploring by 4WD across three different landscapes. At the end of each one, you return to your spacious tent with ensuite bush showers and toilet already set up. You can then relax while the camp staff cater to your every need. Or go for a bush walk or paddle by mokoro (dugout canoe) through the beautiful waterways.
For the first three nights, you’ll stay just a 10-minute walk from the magnificent Victoria Falls at the beautiful Ilala Lodge. Tour the falls, go on a sunset cruise, take part in a fun elephant interaction experience and meet the Victoria Falls Anti-Poaching Unit in the Zambezi National Park.

The story behind these tour packages
Steve and Sara Cameron met while Steve was driving overland safaris in the early 1980s from London down through the African continent. The couple have spent years travelling, driven by a fascination to learn more about people, landscapes and wildlife in Africa. They decided to share their knowledge with fellow travellers through their tour business African Wildlife Safaris. There they create tailor-made travel itineraries with exclusive accommodation, unheard-of locations and cultural experiences. Moreover, the Camerons’ ethos, to create sustainable travel that benefits Africa, its people and wildlife, is woven into every tour.
After 15 years helping travellers explore Africa, the company’s focus on wildlife and wilderness through travel expanded into other parts of the world. Natural Focus provides tours to find tigers in India, watch bears in Canada, sail the Galapagos and voyage on expedition cruises to the Arctic and Antarctica. With expert advice from their destination specialists, itineraries can also be designed for Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Alaska, Canada and South America.
