The end of the year is when I like to step up my skincare game with extra treatments or a good facial (or three) in Singapore. All the celebrations, late nights and travel can really take a toll on your skin! So I asked DR ANGELINE YONG, an experienced dermatologist in Singapore, to recommend a couple of skin treatments available at SSKINS, her new flagship medispa in partnership with SkinCeuticals, that can help revitalise our skin from the inside out. Even better – they’re running special promo prices just for EL readers!

Skin treatment #1: The PDRN SkinRenew Treatment
Perfect for: weakened, dry or dull skin with visible signs of ageing
Keen to smooth those fine lines or give your tired skin a boost? Dr Angeline Yong recommends the PDRN SkinRenew Treatment. It’s an advanced rejuvenation therapy that revitalises and restores skin vitality through deep cellular renewal.
This skin treatment works by harnessing a multi-active complex powered by PDRN (or “polydeoxyribonucleotide, a regenerative molecule derived from salmon DNA that stimulates fibroblast activity and DNA synthesis”), growth factors, hyaluronic acid, amino acids, multivitamin complex and glutathione. This complex then strengthens the skin’s extracellular matrix, which is “the foundation responsible for firmness, hydration and resilience,” says the dermatologist in Singapore.

“By replenishing essential nutrients and supporting fibroblast activity, this skin treatment can help smooth fine lines and wrinkles, refine texture, and restore suppleness and radiance,” she adds. The result? Skin that appears firmer, more hydrated and visibly renewed with improved tone and clarity.
This skin treatment is great for:
- Weakened or sensitised skin
- Dryness and dehydration
- Acne-prone skin and enlarged pores
- Fine lines, wrinkles and loss of firmness
- Uneven tone, dullness or visible signs of ageing
- Photodamaged skin or hyperpigmentation
The experience
The session begins with a double cleanse followed by oxygen scaling and an oxygen hydrating mist spray that infuses moisture and primes the skin. Then comes a relaxing face-point massage to promote lymphatic drainage, before the numbing cream readies the skin for microneedling. The original Dermapen Microneedling Pen with PDRN (the star ingredient derived from salmon DNA) delivers the regenerative actives deep into the skin’s layers where they work to strengthen the extracellular matrix.

After microneedling, Cryocell technology and the SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Gel calm and hydrate the skin before LED Light Therapy reduces any redness and accelerates healing. The treatment concludes with a double mask and aftercare products.
Who is it suitable for?
It’s good for early to moderate signs of ageing, including fine lines, wrinkles and reduced firmness, as well as dehydrated, dull or tired skin needing a boost, according to Dr Yong. It also supports a weakened skin barrier and helps with recovery after other aesthetic treatments. However, this dermatologist in Singapore advises avoiding it if you have active skin infections, open wounds, eczema, severe acne, allergies to fish or seafood (as PDRN is salmon-derived) or if you’ve recently had lasers, peels or invasive procedures.
Skin treatment #2: The Corage Plasma Skin Clarifying Ritual Facial
Perfect for: oily, acne-prone or congested skin
If you’re looking for a facial in Singapore for acne-prone skin, the Corage Plasma Skin Clarifying Ritual could be a good option. It’s designed to help with congestion, excess oil and post-acne concerns.
“Unlike conventional facials, the skin treatment uses the Corage Plasma system which emits controlled multi-frequency plasma energy to sterilise acne-causing bacteria, purify the skin, stimulate fibroblast activity and encourage collagen renewal,” explains Dr Yong. “It works like a detoxifying and clarifying infusion, combining deep cleansing with hydration for clearer, calmer and more balanced skin.”
Suitable even for sensitive or reactive skin, this facial in Singapore includes the Black Tea Blemish Serum, a targeted blend of black tea extract, tea tree oil, salicylic acid and licorice root extract to help calm inflammation, further curb bacterial growth and maintain the skin’s oil-water balance.

This skin treatment is great for:
- Oily, acne-prone, or congested skin
- Dull, uneven texture
- Enlarged pores
- Sensitive skin or reactive skin
- Oil-water imbalance
The experience
The Corage Plasma Skin Clarifying Ritual Facial skin treatment is designed to be comfortable with zero downtime. So it’s a perfect little treat for whenever your skin (or mind) needs a pick-me-up. It starts with a double cleanse and enzyme peel before the Black Tea Blemish Serum is applied with the Corage Plasma Roller. Then comes the Double LED Light Therapy, a relaxing face-point massage, a hydrating double mask and aftercare products.
Who is it suitable for?
This facial in Singapore suits those with acne, congestion, blackheads or anyone wanting clearer skin without downtime. It’s especially effective for oily, combination or imbalanced skin prone to excess sebum or clogged pores. Furthermore, it helps with issues like dullness, uneven texture, enlarged pores and mild post-acne marks, and is gentle enough for sensitive skin.
However, Dr Yong suggests avoiding it if you have cystic acne, open wounds, infections, have had recent lasers or peels or have severe rosacea or eczema.
