My Cozy Room Beauty Spa facial review
The treatment: Ultimate Pore Extraction Facial
Singapore’s relentless humidity can take a toll on your skin. Clogged pores, stubborn blackheads and those annoying oil spots have become my constant companions. When I heard about My Cozy Room Beauty Spa’s Extraction Facial, I’ll admit I was a little nervous. The word “extraction” brought back memories of facials that left me wincing and red-faced for days. Thankfully, this experience was completely different…
The 22-step pore extraction facial lasted a luxurious 120 minutes, and from the start I could tell this would be gentler than I expected. My therapist talked through each step. First, my skin was thoroughly deep-cleansed and exfoliated using products from their in-house skincare brand, BeKind. Next, a soothing mask prepped my face before the extraction process, which was surprisingly comfortable!
What I loved most was the thoughtful aftercare. High-frequency treatment disinfected my pores while cooling light therapy calmed my skin instantly. The finishing touch was a hot stone neck and shoulder massage that melted away any tension. I’m used to walking out of facials looking like a tomato; this time, my skin appeared completely calm and clear. Days later, my complexion still looked fresh, radiant, and noticeably smoother.
If you’re battling Singapore’s climate and want a facial that delivers results without the pain, the Ultimate Pore Extraction Facial is worth trying. It’s one of the best facials in Singapore for congested, acne-prone and sensitive skin, leaving you with a clearer, brighter complexion that actually lasts!

Illuminate Medispa facials in Singapore
The treatment: AquaFirme Exosome Facial
I was very excited to visit Illuminate Medispa, a great one-stop shop in the heart of Dempsey Hill for all your skin needs. I’d never tried the AquaFirme Exosome Facial and was pleasantly surprised with the results from just one session.
While waiting at reception, I quickly asked ChatGPT: “What exactly are exosomes?” The answer: “They’re tiny particles naturally released by cells that act like messengers, helping cells communicate and repair themselves.” My therapist Jacky was wonderful in explaining further that this facial leaves your skin clean, fresh, glowy, hydrated and, in my case, a little bit younger! That’s exactly how I felt afterwards.
The process took about 60 minutes, starting with a thorough cleanse – not once but twice – with a device tip and suction. My skin felt mega clean, and with such a light feeling – and I could immediately see the difference. Now I wonder if I normally clean my face properly!
Next came the BB5 brightening serum, distributed with a low-frequency ultrasound that pushes it deeper for maximum glow and radiance. This was very relaxing – the warm ultrasound was lovely. This treatment is especially great if you suffer from oily skin, as they have the detox exosome to reduce oil and help prevent whiteheads and blackheads. The final step was the EVO II massage with infrared for lymphatic drainage and improved circulation.
This facial is amazing for just before an important event. I’d suggest doing it a couple of days before. Your skin will look better the next day once it’s absorbed all the plant-based exosome serums. Request a smaller room for a cosier experience if you’re by yourself, or a double room if you’d like to do treatments with your bestie!

SkinLab The Medical Spa for a facial treatment
The treatment: Cryotherapy Hydrating Facial
I’m a big believer in the power of ice – it’s perfect for getting the blood and oxygen circulating and promoting healing. So, when I saw this treatment that incorporates cryotherapy as a facial, I was immediately intrigued. Also known as cold therapy, the facial treatment involves exposing the body (or specific parts of it) to extremely cold temperatures for a short period. By getting everything moving and activated, this technique helps improve the tone and texture of your skin. It also stimulates collagen, a protein that keeps the skin looking young and healthy.
The facial treatment included scraping off dead skin, extractions and a mask (the part where I always end up falling asleep!). The cryotherapy machine itself features a cold flat surface that is gently glided over the skin. While it’s obviously cold, it wasn’t uncomfortable and there was no downtime afterwards. In fact, my skin looked really good straight away after the treatment. Besides utilising cold therapy, the facial also comes with ultrasonic high-frequency vibration technology to gently clear away dead skin.
Cryotherapy helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and improves the elasticity of the skin. It also relieves sebum secretion, which prevents breakouts and enhances firmness. Overall, it leaves your skin feeling softer, smoother and plumper.
A trial session costs $149.50 for 90 minutes. SkinLab has 10 clinics across Singapore, which is super convenient. Just check beforehand as not all of them offer this cryotherapy facial. I went to the Wheelock Place clinic – perfect for squeezing in a bit of shopping afterwards!

AsterSpring facials in singapore
The treatment: Volcanic Cooling Facial Treatment
After a few days at the beach, my skin was in dire condition when I arrived at AsterSpring’s Holland Village outpost. I’d originally been scheduled for a more stringent therapy, but after analysing my responses to the detailed consultation form and looking at my red face and breakouts, my therapist Yumi kindly suggested that I go for the 70-minute Volcanic Cooling Facial Treatment instead.
Designed to reduce redness and inflammation while offering deep hydration and strengthening the skin barrier, the treatment promised to restore my glow. Given the addition of a full suite of Dermalogica products, I was sold. Within minutes, I was tucked under a cosy blanket as Yumi began the facial with a thorough oil cleanse.
The facial was so deeply relaxing that I lost count of how many steps followed. What stuck, though, was the gentle but effective scrub with Dermalogica’s rice bran powder Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator, a double-layered (and gauze-protected) mask, numerous hydration formulas, and not-too-painful extractions. The highlight for me was the extensive facial massage using volcanic stones from Peru. After the initial shock – the stones were near freezing – it was clear they were immediately soothing my skin.
By the time I was enjoying a warm tea back in the reception area, my face looked incredibly hydrated, and any fine lines had been smoothed over. A few days later, a friend remarked that I was glowing and looked fresh despite four hours’ sleep. Facial mission accomplished, then!

Chez Moi de Beaute beauty salon review
The treatment: Exoskin PPC Facial
The Exoskin PPC (Post Procedure Care) Facial is typically done after aesthetic procedures like laser or IPL treatments for skin recovery. But after trying it at this beauty salon, I’d say that even without prior treatments, it’s is an excellent facial for helping skin build up a natural barrier against environmental stresses.
The facial uses SkinOrigin’s medi-aesthetic products containing labcultured exosomes that are highly stable, pure, rich in regenerative proteins and safe even for sensitive and allergy-prone skin. The nanoparticles also enhance the skin’s natural healing processes, addressing issues like redness, dehydration and sensitivity.
It started with an analysis of my skin concerns – fine lines, dryness and uneven tone – before I settled in for the 60-minute experience. I was enveloped in warmth from the heated bed as the nimble and expert fingers of my therapist worked on my face. She started with a cleanse and gentle exfoliation, then used cold plasma therapy to sterilise the skin and stimulate regeneration. Next came an exosome serum and low-frequency ultrasound waves to help it penetrate more deeply, before she applied a restorative mask to seal in the active ingredients. While my skin absorbed the exosomes, hyaluronic acid, peptides and other regenerative ingredients, I was treated to a rhythmic face and shoulder massage to improve blood circulation and encourage restoration.
After applying moisturiser and sun protection that was selected to suit my skin condition, I stepped out of the beauty salon with noticeably refreshed skin. My fine lines were immediately less obvious and my complexion looked less tired. Over the next few days, my skin stayed visibly smooth and glowing, and felt much less sensitive.

The Face Place facials in singapore
The treatment: Bespoke Anti-Ageing Facial
I loved that this facial treatment at The Face Place was so hands-on. Don’t get me wrong – machines and products for efficacy are important. But I don’t like being left alone with a mask stuck to my face, not knowing what’s coming next (or if the therapist is even coming back!). So this attentive experience at this beauty salon was exactly what I was looking for.
The facial started with a cup of tea and a thorough analysis of my skin concerns. I made a long, long list, which resulted in the broadest number of different treatments across a two-hour period I have ever enjoyed in my life, and in some very capable hands. My main concerns were dry, dull skin with uneven tone, general sagging and signs of ageing.
Tucked up under a silky blanket in the cosy beauty salon, which has a soft and zen Japanese garden-inspired vibe, I enjoyed multiple cleansers, steaming and an AC peel followed by an extraction. It was effective and not very painful at all. Then came a luxurious facial massage using potent Sothys Paris products and aromatic oils, combined with gua sha and Bojin techniques to help boost lymphatic drainage and blood circulation.
Next was a “face workout” with radiofrequency (The Face Place uses carefully curated Korean beauty equipment) to stimulate collagen and circulation. This step is great for reducing fine lines, wrinkles and sagging. It was followed by ultrasound with a Vitamin C ampoule for hydration and clear skin. The oxyjet machine delivered more hydration while I enjoyed a deep-tissue scalp, neck and shoulder massage. I didn’t want it to end! An additional special eye treatment and massage with ice balls firmed up my skin and also helped me to gently wake from my semi-slumber.
I lost track of exactly how many steps were taken, but this bespoke facial treatment was a very intensive, super hands-on facial treatment. The combination of ancient techniques (massage and gua sha) combined with newer machinedelivered treatments flowed smoothly. The bespoke facial treatment left my skin truly glowing, firm to the touch and plumply hydrated.

Belong Aesthetics facial review
The treatment: Hydrafacial with gentle extraction
My skin desperately needed some TLC after lots of travel over the last month. It was tired and dry and my T-zone was uncharacteristically oily. The team at Belong Aesthetics, a lovely beauty salon tucked away in Royal Square in Novena, recommended their medical-grade Hydrafacial. It’s a signature 90-minute treatment that uses patented vortex fusion technology to deeply cleanse, rebalance and hydrate the skin. Sold!
In the cosy treatment room, my therapist Mia started with a deep cleanse and facial pressure point massage that immediately released tension I didn’t know I was holding in my cheeks and jaw. Then came the gentle extraction, starting with the traditional method before using the Hydrafacial device with its suction exfoliating tip. Completely painless, it sucked out impurities and sebum while simultaneously delivering hydrating serum deep into my pores. It worked brilliantly, judging from the gunk collected afterwards! Mia followed up with a skin scrubber and anti-bacterial high-frequency tool for one final deep cleanse.
Then came the best part: a super-hydrating hyaluronic acid booster that my parched skin happily drank up. Next, Mia applied a generous layer of collagen serum. She followed this with a bespoke mask blended with aloe vera, collagen and cica extracts for their hydrating and anti-inflammatory benefits. Fifteen minutes under the Omega LED light rounded out the experience.
My skin felt so clean, soft and supple afterwards. A week later, it’s still looking nourished and healthy. My skincare seems to penetrate better too, and my oily T-zone has noticeably calmed down. What I appreciate most is how customisable this facial in Singapore is. All the serums and boosters can be tailored to your skin’s specific needs. This beauty salon is currently running a fantastic first-timer promo and it’s definitely one worth booking.

EstheClinic face spa review
The treatment: 40-Minute Supra Facial Treatment
As an expat living in a humid climate, my skincare battle is twofold: fighting the humidity-induced dullness and keeping gravity at bay. I’ve tried countless “miracle” treatments, but EstheClinic’s Supra Facial is the first one that truly made me do a double-take in the mirror.
What I love most about this facial in Singapore is the efficiency. In under an hour, it hits you with a triple threat of tech: radiofrequency to iron out fine lines, vacuum suction to de-puff and detox, and EMS to literally “work out” your facial muscles.
It uses a 3-in-1 machine that is custom-developed so you won’t find it anywhere else in Singapore. The sensation is surprisingly relaxing – just a soothing warmth and a light rhythmic pulse. There are no needles and zero downtime, which is a win for my hectic schedule. I walked in feeling tired and walked out with a jawline I hadn’t seen in years and a “lit-from-within” glow that lasted for days. My skin was visibly lifted and firmer through the deep muscle stimulation, leaving me feeling so much brighter and more radiant. My skin tone was also noticeably improved.
If you’re looking for a serious lift and sculpt that fits into a lunch break, this is it. It’s not just a facial. It’s my new secret weapon for looking rested, even when I’m not.

House of Wellness facials in Singapore
The treatment: Bespoke 90-minute facial with red light body therapy
If you are someone like me who doesn’t do facials routinely, and wants to make the most of the experience when you pamper yourself once in a while, House of Wellness is definitely the place to go. I was incredibly impressed by the many steps packed into my personalised 90-minute session. I actually lost count and had to ask the therapist afterwards!
After some refreshments and tea in the waiting room, I had a consultation to determine the best treatments for my skin. Then, relaxed under the infrared blankets, my facial began with a deep cleansing and gentle extractions to clear congestion. Next was high-frequency therapy to calm inflammation, followed by a sculpting massage incorporating bojin and gua sha techniques.
The next step was my favourite – the Vitamin C mesoshot. My therapist used a specialised device combining suction and microcurrents to enhance the penetration of the ampoule that boosts collagen activity. It felt so refreshing, and I could tell my face was instantly plumped. This was followed by cryo-electroporation with exosomes to promote skin cell repair and regeneration. Finally (I was fighting to stay awake at this point!), the facial concluded with a hydrating mask and a neck and shoulder massage.
I appreciated that the therapist didn’t leave me unattended, which made the session more enjoyable. Another thing I loved is that during the facial, the body simultaneously receives red light and infrared therapy to boost circulation, muscle relaxation and cellular recovery. The results were instant – my complexion was improved, my face felt hydrated and radiant, and my body was relaxed. One extra point for not looking red like a tomato as I stepped out of the beauty salon! It was such a delightful treat and a perfect full-system reset just before our family trip.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) – click for the answers!
The article reviews a variety of facial treatments, from extraction and anti-ageing to hydration and cryotherapy. To pick the right one, first identify your key concern (e.g., dull skin, large pores, pigmentation, fine lines) then match it to a treatment described in the article. For example, a “pore-refining mask + extraction” for large pores or “stem-cell booster facial” for pigmentation.
Reviewers reported visible improvements: smoother texture, brighter complexion, reduced spots, plumper skin and longer-lasting glow. For example, one trial noted sun-spots appearing lighter and skin remaining supple two weeks post-treatment.
While the article doesn’t list all treatment prices, specific examples include one cryotherapy-hydration facial at $149.50 for 90 minutes. Prices vary significantly depending on technology, duration, clinic prestige and whether it includes booster serums or extraction.
Many reviewers noticed visible improvements immediately after the session (e.g., “skin looked really good straight away”). Some effects (e.g., glow, smoother texture) lasted for days to weeks. Regular maintenance is often recommended for sustained results.
The article suggests minimal downtime for many treatments: for example, a cryotherapy facial produced skin that looked good straight away with no downtime mentioned. However, always check with the salon or clinic for your treatment’s specifics.
Extractions are featured in many of the highlighted facials. One reviewer described a 22-step extraction treatment as “slightly uncomfortable but not painful at all… I was glowing afterwards.” Skilled therapists and appropriate sessions can make extraction part of a comfortable experience.
The article suggests that for regular maintenance one session every three to four weeks is a good guideline, while more intensive courses may be offered (e.g., weekly sessions for six weeks).
Key things to look for:
- Therapist expertise and experience (e.g., 15 years of experience is mentioned in one review)
- Use of advanced technologies (cryotherapy, derma-pen, ultrasonic scrubber, LED red-light)
- Clear match between the facial treatment and your skin concerns
- Comfortable environment and relaxation-oriented touch beyond just clinical steps
- Transparency on costs, duration and potential post-treatment outcomes
