Three ways Las Palmas rooftop bar is nailing Palm Springs chic
Here’s the low-down on this trendy sundowner spot with its all-American menu and stylish cocktail list!
#1 Palm Springs with a contemporary twist
While the colour palette of Palm Springs style is often muted, you’ll also find pops of colour that reflect the spirit of the mid-century era. This modern design aesthetic is brought to life at the Las Palmas rooftop bar. Think pastel blue terrazzo flooring, pink stone quartz countertop, vibrant sorbet hues and whimsical desert-themed fabrics.
A seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces, together with retro images from American photographer Slim Aarons and fluted oak timber walls, complete the sleek and contemporary poolside appeal.
#2 Innovatively crafted tropical cocktails at Las Palmas rooftop bar in Singapore
The best rooftop bars in Singapore have one thing in common: amazing drinks! At Las Palmas, the cocktail menu is inspired iconic films shot in Palm Springs during the 1950s and 60s. It’s a fun and fresh offering – the brainchild of award-winning Head Bartender Ron Aransay. “Come into our bar, and sip on cocktails reminiscent of sunshine, the sea breeze and sea salt,” says Ron.
Bespoke concoctions include The Cabana ($25) with cognac, peach liqueur, citrus and almond. Another favourite is Flame of Love ($25), Ron’s take on a famous Hollywood cocktail made in 1970 for Dean Martin by Beverly Hills bartender Pepe Ruiz.
A selection of sundowner favourites such as spritzes, highballs and seasonal spiked slushies, along with a wine list of New World and Californian labels, are the cherry on top of a cosmopolitan beverage list.
#3 Classic Southern California-inspired bites
Feeling peckish? Head Chef John Chye has put together a menu of hearty American classics with a hint of Asian flavour that are the perfect complement to the poolside paradise.
Among the delicious sharing plates are chicken tacos with Tex-Mex guacamole ($15), a rib rack served with a Singapore chilli crab-style sauce ($25), and Asian-style chicken in an addictive sweet soy sauce ($18). Meanwhile, churros with salted peanut butter and a kaya dipping sauce ($13) really hit the sweet spot.
