The Gathering Line – Art Exhibition by Canvas Connections

The Gathering Line is the annual show of Canvas Connections, an art collective of professional women artists in Singapore, happening on 25 to 27 September at Selegie Arts Center.
In cartography, a gathering line is where two landmasses almost touch — where proximity creates energy, tension, and the possibility of crossing. In art, it is where one artist’s vision meets another’s, where the seam between distinct practices becomes a site of meaning.
The Gathering Line presented by Canvas Connections: a curated circle of women artists whose individual practices are made more luminous by deliberate proximity. This is not about sameness. It is about the charged space between different voices, different media, different ways of seeing — and what becomes possible when those voices choose to gather.
A line connects. A line marks a boundary. A line is also a beginning.
