Ma mere l’Oye: SNYO with Singapore Ballet
12 June - 13 June
The Singapore Ballet stars in Ravel’s Mother Goose (Ma mere l’Oye), bringing scenes from tales such as Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, Little Tom Thumb and more to life, accompanied by the Singapore National Youth Orchestra.
The SNYO, under the baton of their Music Director Joshua Tan, also perform Schubert’s lively Symphony No.2 as well as Brahms’s Academic Festival Overture, so named as a tribute to the University of Breslau for honouring him with a doctorate in music in 1881.
Programme:
- Brahms – Academic Festival Overture, Op. 80
- Schubert – Schubert Symphony (No. 2, with choreography by Choo-San Goh)
- Ravel – Ma Mère l’Oye (Mother Goose)
The performance of Ma mere l’Oye will run on 12 and 13 June, 7.30pm to 9pm at the Esplanade Concert Hall. Tickets from $20 to $50 available here.
