About Songbirds of Singapore
Founded by Creative Director Nikki Gooding, Songbirds of Singapore is an all-women’s choir bringing together singers from across the globe through a shared love of music, friendship and performance. After many years singing with choirs in Singapore and London, Nikki created a group centred around warmth, inclusivity, fun and genuine connection — a place where women could come together to sing, support one another, and rediscover the joy of performing in a group where they feel safe, valued and like they truly belong.
Alongside Nikki is Music Director Elaine Chan, one of Singapore’s most respected composers, arrangers and choir directors. Known for her incredible talent, humour and exceptional musicality, Elaine brings a unique energy and professionalism to the group, helping Songbirds of Singapore grow in confidence while creating performances that are both polished and full of heart. Together, Nikki and Elaine have created a choir community that feels welcoming, uplifting and genuinely special.
More than just a choir, Songbirds of Singapore is a supportive community built on kindness, friendship and the belief that music has the power to connect and uplift. The group also regularly performs at nursing homes and hospitals across Singapore, sharing music with those who need it most.
