More than a decade after launching its coconut water in Australia, Cocobella has opened its first concept store in the world. The Cocobella Lifebar in Singapore serves a menu of products that feature coconut water and frozen coconut yoghurt. Co-founders LUKE MARGET and MATT DENNIS share some insights.
It started with coconut water
“We wanted to make the purest form of coconut water readily available for Australians and anyone away from the source of coconuts,” says Luke and Matt about their initial aims. So they travelled around Southeast Asia, found naturally grown coconuts at sustainable plantations in Indonesia and Thailand, and brought them back to Australia.
Today, Cocobella’s coconut water and coconut yoghurt are distributed around Southeast Asia – and they’re available in supermarkets here.

Earlier this year, the pair opened their concept store at One Holland Village. “We’re passionate and excited to share the goodness of coconut. There’s no better way to do it than through our own store and menu!”
The relaxing atmosphere of Cocobella Lifebar invites you to chill out. When we visited, there were students revising, friends catching up and fitness enthusiasts refuelling post-workout.
The menu offers superfood smoothies and iced coffee blended with coconut water, superfood bowls made with coconut froyo, and coconut froyo bowls in different flavours.
Here are some of our favourite items at Cocobella Lifebar:
- The Espresso Energiser is a super smoothie blend of coconut water, coconut milk, cold espresso shot, raw cashews, banana, plant-based protein and BCAAs. It provides the energy boost to power through hectic workdays or through a workout.
- The Nut Butter Acai super bowl combines acai coconut froyo with protein, house-made coconut granola, banana, strawberries and peanut butter (we switched it to almond nut butter) for a nutrient-dense and antioxidant-rich treat.
- The Eau de Coco serves Cocobella coconut water over ice for a refreshing and thirst quenching drink.
The menu also caters to gluten-free and low-sugar diets.
Recommendations from Cocobella Lifebar founders
Here’s what Luke and Matt suggest from the menu if…
# You lead a healthy lifestyle and want something different:
“Our Choc Power Protein super smoothie is packed with 25g of protein. It’s perfect as a pre- or post-workout boost, midday snack or a meal on its own.”
# You want more healthy options
“Easy Greens smoothies is a medley of fruit (bananas, passionfruit) and vegetables (celery, spinach) in a refreshing on-the-go coconut water beverage. It doesn’t taste like traditional green juice – trust us and just try it!”
# You’ve never tried frozen coconut yoghurt but are curious
“Our Nut Butter Acai super bowl is a Cocobella rendition of the well-loved acai bowl but tastier with our acai protein coconut froyo as the base.”
# You’re starting to explore healthier eating
“A good start to a healthier diet would be replacing desserts with our Fruit Salad froyo bowl. It’s a combination of a trio of fresh fruit and light vanilla coco froyo.”
You can soak in some of the Aussie beachside vibes as you enjoy the unique coconut-based menu at Cocobella Lifebar. Or, if you want to bring some of the goodness home, you can purchase coconut water in one-litre packs before you leave.
