If you’re looking for a gift that celebrates our rich heritage, Singapore brand Luzerne’s SG60 Diamond Collection honours the nation’s 60th milestone in a notable – and beautiful – way. We find out more about this handcrafted tableware series, and how you can support a meaningful cause with these Singapore-themed gifts.

Timeless tableware by Singapore brand Luzerne for SG60
Luzerne’s SG60 Diamond Collection is a commemorative range of specially designed tableware. Its design is in collaboration with Associate Professor Ng Woon Lam, a Singaporean watercolourist and Dolphin Fellowship awardee of the American Watercolour Society.
The collection consists of:
- SG60 Singapura Plate. A 30cm piece that serves as a charger or standalone showpiece. Featuring six individual designs, each plate becomes a quiet storyteller – at the table or on the shelf. $488, $688 with frame, or $2,688 for all six plates in a frame.
- SG60 Singapura 6-Plate Set. This set of six 16cm plates is designed for connecting over shared dishes and gatherings. Each plate in the set depicts one scene. $288 per set.
- SG60 Kopi Set. A six-piece espresso set inspired by Singapore’s evolving kopi culture, from traditional kopitiams to modern-day coffee bars. $288 per set.
- SG60 Diamond Plate. A set of 60 commemorative 50cm plates with a customised SG60 plate stand. Each plate is presented in a premium box with a SG60 canvas bag. These plates are not for sale but donated for charitable purposes – see more details below.
The nation’s journey, brought to life in art
The Singapore-themed gifts feature six artworks, each representing a key milestone in each decade. Altogether, the scenes depict Singapore’s progress over 60 years. (Every purchase also includes a commemorative booklet reflecting this journey.)

Here’s a closer look at the scenes depicted in Luzerne’s commemorative range for SG60
#1 Our Humble Beginnings, 1965. The scene of Chinatown shophouses reflects the beginnings of a newly independent nation where there’s limited land, few resources and immense uncertainty.
#2 Building Homes, Building Lives, 1970s. High-rise housing estates and the iconic Dragon Playground reflect the nation’s urbanisation.
#3 Connecting Singapore, 1980s. This is a decade of connection, with the MRT system linking people across the island, and the first flight landing at Changi Airport on 1 July 1981, marking the country’s rise as a global aviation hub.
#4 A City of Innovation and Culture, 1990s to 2000s. The Esplanade Theatres on the Bay project in 1996 denotes Singapore’s shift in defining its cultural identity as a vibrant space for the arts.
#5 Seeds of Recognition, 2000s to 2010s. The Singapore Botanic Gardens receives UNESCO World Heritage Site status. This marks a focus on preserving local heritage and the nation’s commitment to sustainability.
#6 Shaping Tomorrow’s Singapore, 2010s to 2020s. Marina Bay Sands defines modern Singapore’s skyline as it overlooks an evolving cityscape. Singapore champions innovation and sustainability while showing unity and adaptability as it continues moving forward.

Plates with purpose – giving back with Singapore-themed gifts
Taking centre stage in the collection is the SG60 Diamond Plate. Only 60 of these have been made, each individually numbered with a rhyming backstamp, making them a collector’s item. The plates are adorned with a collage of all six scenes mentioned above.
What’s more, unlike the other items in the collection, these 60 plates are being donated to charity. This is in line with Luzerne’s commitment to giving back. The goal is to raise $600,000, with a focus on mental health support.
Ten plates from the 60 also form part of a fundraising initiative with Community Chest Singapore, with proceeds benefitting the President’s Challenge, The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund, Samaritans of Singapore, and Limitless Singapore. The top 10 donors will each receive a SG60 Diamond Plate in recognition of their generosity.
The remaining plates will be distributed to over 20 social service agencies for their own fundraising efforts. These include The National Kidney Foundation, National Cancer Centre Singapore, Ren Ci Hospital and the Singapore Association for Mental Health.

A word from the CEO of Luzerne
This initiative is deeply personal to ELAINE LEK, CEO of Luzerne. She says, “As co-founder of the PleaseStay Movement, speaking up on youth mental health and suicide prevention is a responsibility I carry. My hope is that through awareness, compassion and also open dialogue, we can break the stigma and better support those who are silently struggling to seek help with no prejudice.
“I believe that we must invest not only in infrastructure and innovation, but also in compassion, understanding and human connection. Just as our nation was built by those who cared deeply for its future, I want to help shape a Singapore where every life is valued and no one suffers in silence. With Luzerne’s humble contribution to SG60, I hope to show support for those navigating societal pressures or identity challenges amid Singapore’s rapid progress.”
The SG60 initiative continues the Singapore brand’s legacy that began in 2015, with the company’s SG50 Commemorative Plate marking Singapore’s Golden Jubilee. Nearly $500,000 was raised through the auction of 50 plates at the time.

A Singapore brand on the world stage
Luzerne traces its origins back to 1947, as Hiap Huat Pottery, an importer of housewares. It grew through the decades, entering manufacturing in 1973, acquiring its own factory in 1994, creating custom designs in 2004, and opening its first retail shop in Singapore in 2022.
The Singapore brand is now a global name synonymous with bone-ash-free ceramics that are sustainable and culturally conscious. At the company’s wholly owned factory in Dehua, China, 800 skilled artisans handcraft each piece of Luzerne tableware. Dehua is the birthplace of Blanc de Chine and officially recognised as The World Porcelain City. The factory is also the first in the world to receive halal certification.
Today, leading airlines, hotels and restaurants in over 66 countries worldwide use Luzerne’s craft tableware.
