It doesn’t matter how niche your child’s co-curricular interests are. They’re very likely to be catered for at Stamford American International School (SAIS). There’s a whopping 350 after-school enrichment activities for students from Pre-Kindergarten through to Grade 12. It’s a diverse range of options that spans arts to sports, academic clubs, Model United Nations and leadership programmes.
According to MATT MILLS, the new Superintendent of SAIS, there’s something for every interest and talent. “We offer our students unparalleled opportunities to explore their passions and develop a well-rounded skill set,” he says.
In Pre-K to Grade 8, the CCAs on offer are inclusive for all students, enabling them to be explorative and creative across a variety of co-curricular interests. In Grades 9 to 12, meanwhile, there are also student-led High School Clubs across a range of different areas, along with an emphasis on volunteer opportunities that help students give back to the wider community.
Among the essential life skills that involvement in CCAs helps students to develop are teamwork, leadership, time management and resilience.
Creating a vibrant school life at SAIS
Stamford American seeks to support the overall development of students through the diverse range of after-school enrichment activities offered. This provides stufdents with ample opportunities to excel not only academically but also in the pursuit of their co-curricular interests.
Matt says that the integration of CCAs into a student’s school life helps promote critical thinking, creativity and holistic development. At the same time, community engagement builds a vibrant, inclusive school community. Students, faculty and parents can therefore collaborate in a thriving educational environment.
“I’m excited to work with our dedicated faculty and talented students to create this dynamic and supportive educational environment,” says Matt.
