Best portrait photography in Singapore
White Room Studio
Steeped in natural light thanks to its tall and elegant windows, the 2,400-square-foot White Room Studio space has an almost nostalgic character. Located in River Valley and spanning two floors of a colonial Peranakan shophouse, it’s one of the most established photography studios in Singapore. With a candid and relaxed portraiture style, the team of family photographers have over 70 years of experience in portraiture – so it’s little wonder that families come back year after year to have their memories captured!

Lisa, Firman, Sascha (18) and Mika (13) are a British-AmericanAustrian family who have been in Singapore for 13 years A friend showed us some really nice corporate shots a few years ago and we found out she used White Room Studio. We have used the studio for family shots and corporate shots ever since!
It’s a small, boutique photography house located in an old shophouse on River Valley Road. This makes the experience feel very intimate and gives the shots a lot of character.
The team makes you feel right at home; they’re very flexible and a pure joy to work with. They have great recommendations on angles, lighting and whatever would make a shot and you look natural and attractive. The photographer takes many shots and you can take your time selecting the ones you’re most happy with. It’s a difficult exercise because many of them will be beautiful!
We feel that they do the best corporate and family shots in Singapore. We have recommended them to many corporate clients as well as friends over the years. White Room Studio is very reasonably priced and great value for money – we wouldn’t go anywhere else in Singapore!

Ben and Emma Moreau, British; Ossie (3) and Penelope (newborn) We’ve been living in Singapore for over 10 years. This photoshoot was a way to capture welcoming our newborn and a moment with visiting grandparents – three generations together.
We first met Rebecca when she photographed our close friends’ farewell shoot in Singapore. We loved the photos and saw how natural she was with kids.
We did our prenatal shoot in the Botanic Gardens and our newborn shoot at home. Rebecca made us feel completely at ease, gently guiding us while giving plenty of space for unscripted moments to unfold. Her ability to read the room made the entire experience feel effortless and genuine.
Rebecca has a gift for working with children. She captured the big moments and the quiet details that often go unnoticed. We also appreciate how easy and seamless the whole process was, from booking to final gallery delivery.
We absolutely recommend Rebecca to any family wanting to capture meaningful, natural memories. She doesn’t just take photos, she tells stories – the most precious kind.

Sung Eun, Tengren, Jiwon (3) and Jiyoung (1) are a South KoreanSingaporean family who have lived in Singapore for over six years
Tengren’s sister had multiple family photoshoots with Melody at Oh Dear Studio. Then, while Sung Eun was pregnant with our first child, we took a multi-generation family photoshoot together as well. We’ve been going back to the studio for our family photoshoots ever since; we just did our third one there!
Every time we visit, there’s a warm and welcoming feeling. Melody knows how to position each person for each photo while still making everything look very natural!
We’re always impressed by how fast she takes her photos, too, which is a huge asset when you’re taking photos with young kids! She connects with kids very quickly and knows how to bring out their most natural smiles.
Based on our experience, her specific instructions and efficiency make the photoshoot effortless. She can also quickly change the setup if the photos don’t look right. The quick turnaround in sending the photos after the photoshoot is another plus!

Sera Murphy is an American living in Singapore since 2020. She’s the founder of a wardrobe styling and shopping services business in Singapore.
I discovered Nina through Launchpad and Instagram, and love her clean and bright style. I chose her annual package, which is perfect for fresh, on-brand images throughout the year – headshots ready at any given time; updating my website whenever I have something new; social content, and more. I can even use it for family photos too!
Over the last three years, I’ve done so many shoots with Nina in various locations. She has documented how my business has evolved over time.
Her style is warm, polished and truly reflective of my brand. She makes everything feel relaxed and easy with gentle direction, and brings out my natural confidence. Every set of photos exceeds my expectations. I highly recommend her to every small business owner I know.
