Centre Stage School of the Arts for acting, musical theatre and dance classes
With two studios in Singapore, Centre Stage School of the Arts is celebrating 25 years as a fixture on the island’s creative and performing arts scene. Founded in 1999 by UK actors Peter Hodgson and Alison Tompkins, the school has welcomed over 30,000 students – many of whom have gone on to perform on international stages or train at top drama institutions such as the Guildford School of Acting, Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, and Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.

Known for its professional teaching team and strong creative curriculum, Centre Stage focuses on more than just performance. Building confidence, communication skills and creative expression is at the core of its approach. Alumni are currently performing in The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, and other major productions, while the school staged 12 local shows in the past year alone, including one at the Victoria Theatre.
Recently, a group of students took part in a UK tour. It included workshops, performances and backstage access in London’s West End. This is part of the school’s ongoing commitment to connecting young performers in Singapore with the wider world.
Centre Stage is now enrolling for its 2025/26 productions.
