Thankfully, there’s a growing number of second hand shops where you can buy authentic pre-loved premium brands at fabulous discounts; or swap them instead! This is one of Singapore’s longest established vintage stores – 15 years old and still rocking! It stocks premium authentic vintage clothes and handmade accessories, with heaps of everything one-of-a-kind. For example, there’s an extensive selection of dresses, separates and evening wear in a wide range of sizes that are handpicked from the USA and Europe. It also carries an extensive collection of curated vintage and contemporary designer labels at up to 80% off original designer prices. Discovery Shop
Looking for a thrift shop with furniture, bling and heart? Homegrown tyre and wheel specialist Stamford Tyres has supported the establishment of a charity boutique selling pre-loved collectibles to raise funds for kidney research. Called Discovery Shop, the outlet is a curated treasure trove of artwork, antiques and artefacts that are professionally appraised. There’s a mix of rare collectibles and affordable items.
Furniture, kitchenware, rugs and many other items have been donated by Stamford Tyres founder, the late Mr Wee Kok Wah, his wife Dawn and several of their friends and associates. Mrs Wee’s late husband was a kidney patient, and so is their son. They are among a growing group of sufferers of kidney disease. This is a place where everyone can come and appreciate rare vintage and modern finds. The entire proceeds from the shop will go towards the SGH ARK Fund (Advancing Resources for Kidney Diseases).

Donations, Collections and Thrift Stores in Singapore
If you’re mainly looking to de-clutter your home rather than making a profit from selling, why not donate your items? The following thrift stores and organisations accept second-hand goods for sale; their shops are usually filled with plenty of babies’ and kids’ items, as well as furniture and appliances. Even better, all the money spent by those who are buying goes to a good cause!
