Looking for Oktoberfest beer and food in Singapore? The festival may have originated in Munich in Germany, but this annual event has transcended its Bavarian roots to become a global phenomenon. From craft beers, delicious food and themed specials, here’s a taste of what you can look forward to at some of our favourite restaurants and bars this Oktoberfest 2024 in Singapore.
Did you know this about Oktoberfest?
The first Oktoberfest festival took place on 12 October 1810. That was when Crown Prince Ludwig, later to become King Ludwig I, was married to Princess Therese of Saxony Hildburghausen. Citizens of Munich were invited to attend festivities in front of the city gates to celebrate the happy royal event. Traditionally, the Oktoberfest celebration begins in the third weekend of September and ends on the first Sunday of October.
