Do you need help with anxiety, panic or any other issues that come with being a mum? If yes, read on! We speak with KRUTHI SREESHA, clinical psychologist and founder of ManaSpace, about mother-centred postpartum care in Singapore that prioritises your mental wellness as much as the baby. ManaSpace focuses on perinatal support and mental health for mothers – from pregnancy through the fourth trimester – while also helping the wider community with stress, burnout, relationships and identity shifts.
A closer look at postpartum care and mental wellness with ManaSpace founder Kruthi Sreesha

In a city that’s good at checklists, what gets missed for mothers?
The inner experience. A woman can look fine on paper and still be juggling tears in the shower, panic before bedtime, or guilt about not “enjoying every moment”. Those aren’t failings; they’re signals. Without a safe place to process fear of the unknown, identity shifts or feeding stress, tension builds at home and bonding can suffer – especially for expat mums far from home and their support system, or local mums facing “don’t talk about it” stigma.
How is ManaSpace’s approach to perinatal and postnatal care different?
We’re a mental-health practice catering to the mental health and wellness needs of clients across all walks of life, genders, age groups and situations; and we have a special focus on pregnancy, postpartum care and the transitions around the perinatal period. Care is preventive and practical: you’ll leave sessions with doable tools for sleep, worry, birth memories and partner dynamics. We focus on outcomes mums want – steadier moods, clearer plans, more rest – not labels. Progress is often non-linear; some weeks feel easier than others, and that’s normal.
When is the right time to reach out for postpartum care?
Anytime from pregnancy through the early years of parenting. We see expectant and new mums, women navigating IVF or high-risk pregnancies, and parents in the early years. You don’t need a diagnosis – or even to already be a parent – to benefit from support.

What happens in a first session and beyond?
We name what’s hardest right now – sleep, worry, fear of birth, overwhelm, partner dynamics, identity – and set one or two small targets for the week. You’ll leave with steps you can actually do. We track progress and adjust as life changes. Depending on your goals, we draw from proven methods – for example, CBT, EMDR/Brainspotting, mindfulness and SolutionFocused tools – to quieten spirals, improve sleep, ease intrusive memories, reset routines and build confidence. The mix shifts over time; some feel better in three to five sessions (online or in-person), others take longer.
What’s the ripple effect when mum gets targeted postpartum care?
When a mother receives perinatal support and feels steadier, feeding often smooths out, sleep improves and patience returns. Babies are calmer with a regulated adult; partners feel supported by a clearer plan; families function better – and communities thrive.
What makes ManaSpace a good fit for new mums?
I’ve transitioned into motherhood and navigated its complexities myself. Behind the beauty of this season are realities that can feel overwhelming. My goal is to help mums step into motherhood with confidence and clarity, equipped for both the joys and the struggles. No mother should have to do this alone – and that’s exactly where postpartum care and ManaSpace come in.
