Navigating your Teens – The Roadmap
8 October @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
$48As parents, it can be difficult to connect with teenagers – especially when the world they’re growing up in feels so different from the one you knew. Dr Neil Forrest and Dr Sital Khristrya from Osler Health are both recognised for their work with adolescents, and they’ll be sharing their expertise on everything from hormonal changes to social and emotional development. They’ll also explore the digital and social environments that shape the lived experience of teenagers.
Join us for an engaging and informative session, providing a deeper understanding on the following topics:
- What is ‘normal’ teen behaviour and what is not?
- What’s happening in their brains and why does this affect risk taking?
- How can you identify depression or anxiety or concerning mental wellbeing behaviours?
- How can parents manage their teens and minimise conflict?
- What role does each parent have?
- How can lifestyle medicine support your child? What does this mean in practice?
- What are the added pressures of international life in Singapore?
