Playing golf has many benefits – not only is it a good way to keep fit, it is also a very social activity. We are very lucky to have some world-class golf courses to choose from across the island. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or a total newbie, there are plenty of golf courses in Singapore for perfecting your swing if you are looking for things to do. Here are our top picks for best places to play golf in Singapore.
Marina Bay Golf Course
Marina Bay Golf Course offers players a par-72, 18-hole course, accompanied by unbeatable views of the Singapore skyline. The 6,493-metre “link-style” course is open for night golfing too, which means you can look forward to a post-work game with your pals. Nine-hole golf fees start from $52.50 on weekdays, and $72.50 on weekends, while 18-hole golf fees start from $75 (weekdays) and $120 (weekends). Golf fees include use of showers and lockers, and buggies with GPS. Alternatively, golfers can request to use the newly introduced golf scooters – a first in Singapore – to add an extra thrill to their games.
Adding yet another new dimension to the golfing experience here is the recently opened par-24 putting course, featuring six holes with 211 metres of natural grass putting surfaces and varying undulations. The fun and challenging course is suitable even for non-golfers who want to try their hand at the sport and get outdoors. There’s also a four-tier, 150-bay driving range that’s available from 7am until 10.45pm daily, with the exception of Monday mornings.
Marina Bay Golf Course is located at 80 Rhu Cross.
Singapore Island Country Club (SICC)
SICC is Singapore’s oldest golf club, offering five different courses including four 18-hole options and a nine-hole executive course that’s great for younger golfers looking to hone their skills and confidence before taking on the challenge of the Bukit Course – the club’s renowned 18-hole championship course, which has played host to over 28 Singapore Opens and other international events – or the New Course, which is considered SICC’s most challenging due to its natural terrain and rainforest setting. Guest fees range from $100 to $270 for 18 holes, depending on the course and day. There are also two driving ranges on the property, along with two chip and putt practise areas, where golfers can perfect their short game before teeing off.

There’s also a driving range, complete with synthetic practice bays, a grass practice area, and a short game area for chipping and putting, and a practice bunker. Note: you’ll either need to be a club member or know someone who is to play here. Nine-hole golf fees are $90 for weekdays, and $150 for weekends, while 18-hole golf fees range from $180 to $300.
