Siri House is Dempsey Hill’s latest luxury lifestyle destination. With a cool apartment showroom, quirky shop, eclectic restaurant and intimate art space, it’s the perfect place to head for a little dining or decorating inspiration – Thai style.
The brainchild of Thailand’s luxury property developer Sansiri, Siri House brings together a smorgasbord of modern Thai style, all under one roof. It’s a place to live, to dine, to play and to shop. Along with the flagship concept Siri House at Somkid (slated to open this month), it serves as a brand ambassador for everything Sansiri holds dear. Take a look at what’s on offer.
Luxury living
More than just a property developer, Sansiri is known for its emphasis on design and liveability. The Siri House showroom transports visitors to a luxurious home environment that replicates their iconic interiors. Displays will change every six to eight months, highlighting Sansiri’s hottest new developments.
The current offering invites you into The Monument at Thong Lo, a landmark residence at one of Bangkok’s hippest addresses. While ostensibly a window for potential investors, the plush materials, bold graphic patterns and eclectic styling of designer Vichada Sitakalin (Dao) also serve as inspiration to any mere mortal in need of a creative lift. It is also a unique space for intimate, home-styled parlour events.
Dinner & drinks
Jam at Siri House is inspired by the modern Asian family table. It offers a menu of sharing plates with an eclectic mix of flavours and influences that transcend geographical borders. Just like the neighbouring showroom, there are bold colours, plush fabrics and classical, Asian and Art Deco touches. This is a setting that oozes an easy, luxurious feel; it’s like dining at an uber-stylish friend’s home. There are also some talented hands behind the bar, too, with Mark Tay and Yap Hwee Jen, the founders of Singapore cocktail brand Sunday Punch, in charge of the drinks list.
Artistic inspiration
An intimate art space, the Gallery at Siri House will feature new exhibitions every three to four months. Expect a cross-generational line-up of established names and emerging talent. The debut show is “Another Dimension” by New York-based Thai artist Gongkan. He explores the quest for freedom from material success through a series of sculpture and mirror installations.
Retail therapy
If you love quirky, forward thinking design, this is the place for you. Showcasing a regularly changing roster of hot Thai brands to know and watch, you’ll find all kinds of Thai style homeware, accessories, casual wear and knickknacks. Look out for limited-editions designed especially for Siri House from brands like Thingg, SUR and Mirror Mirror.
