A one-stop Singapore bridal studio that’s been in business for some 30 years, it offers not only a collection of swoon-worthy European wedding dresses for rent in Singapore, but also made-to-measure gowns and a plethora of wedding services, all under one roof.
Here, we sit down with co-owner ARRON to learn about how Luna Bianca has been helping brides-to-be create their dream weddings, minus the stress.
How did Luna Bianca start and how has it evolved since then?
Luna Bianca was founded about 30 years ago. In 2023, it underwent a management change, making us, the current owners, the third proprietors of the company. We took over the business as we saw its potential. Our goal is to unlock and maximise the company’s growth to make a breakthrough in the wedding and events industry.
Luna Bianca started as a typical Singapore bridal studio catering to local brides. Over time, the previous owners identified a gap in the market for premium, high-quality, non-Asian, all-inclusive gowns. Since then, it has evolved into a bridal studio specialising in premium European gowns. Each piece is handpicked and directly imported from Europe to cater to various styles and sizes.
Since we took over last year, we noticed an increasing demand from clients for other wedding services, such as wedding photography, makeup and event planning. This encouraged us to develop our brand into a one-stop shop for all things weddings!
Tell us about Luna Bianca’s premium European wedding dresses for rent in Singapore. Do you offer custom-made gowns as well?
We offer a large collection of European gowns, ranging from minimalistic styles to extremely dramatic ones. As we aim to be an all-inclusive shop, we bring in new collections every six months to cater to the ever-changing trends and preferences. We also offer in-house alteration services, ensuring our gowns fit almost all sizes. Additionally, we provide custom-made gowns, known as made-to-measure pieces. These gowns are usually for purchase and designed specifically to a bride’s preference, down to every minute detail. They usually take about 10 to 12 months to create.
Why did you introduce in-house wedding photography, videography, florists, makeup and event planning to Luna Bianca?
We realised that there is a growing demand from our clients for comprehensive wedding services. It didn’t take much for us to know that this was a direction we wanted to head to. We understand how important a fuss-free and stress-free experience is, especially for such a special occasion that happens only once in a lifetime.
What are some advantages of choosing a one-stop Singapore bridal studio?
The biggest pro of choosing a one-stop shop is definitely the convenience and affordability, as we offer all-inclusive bundles and packages. This eliminates the hassle of liaising with multiple vendors when wedding planning; we handle everything on your behalf. However, we understand that clients may have concerns about the quality and reliability of one-stop shops. With that in mind, Luna Bianca offers all our services in-house and provides free consultations where clients can meet our vendors and see their work first-hand, which we hope can help alleviate any scepticism.
This Singapore bridal studio sits within a beautiful 4,000-square-foot space; tell us about it.
Previously, Luna Bianca was located in Bugis and Raffles before moving to our current space in Ubi. We were enthralled by the potential of this huge space – we love the serendipity and secluded nature here as well – which allows us to stand out from other bridal studios in the market.
The first floor comprises Luna Bianca’s renowned collections of wedding dresses for rent in Singapore, designated private parking, multiple fitting rooms, lounging areas for consultations, a large hair and makeup station, an in-house alteration station, and a café and bar.
On the second floor, you’ll find our premium Raso Bianco collections, kuas and cheongsams, evening dresses and maternity pieces, a man cave for grooms, our in-house wedding photography team’s workstations, a photo selection lounging area, an indoor photo studio, and multiple fitting rooms.
What are some trending wedding dress styles for 2024 and 2025?
Good question! Our wedding advisors, who are on the ground every day liaising with our clients, suggest that wedding dresses with slits are gaining popularity. So are minimalist styles that allow more attention to be drawn to the bride herself!
What’s your favourite part about what you do?
As we are also married, we understand the hardship, stress and difficulties that go into wedding planning. Hence, we made it a goal to provide stress-free experiences for couples. My favourite part of what we do is seeing couples happy and satisfied. When our clients enjoy our services and their time here at our boutique, we feel an immense amount of pride and fulfilment.
Any top tips for brides preparing for their big day?
Our top tip would be to not try to handle everything on your own! By trying to carry the entire weight of wedding planning yourself, you will definitely feel overwhelmed. Speak with professionals, get tips and advice, and don’t be afraid to ask for help from vendors, family, friends or your partner. If your budget allows, we recommend engaging a wedding planner or coordinator. We have seen first-hand how much stress can be lifted off our clients’ shoulders by engaging these services.
What’s next for Luna Bianca?
We hope to bring the industry to the next level. As my partners and I come from vastly different backgrounds – I’m from finance, and the other two partners are from construction and real estate – we would love to use our collective skills and knowledge to revolutionise the wedding and events industry. As it is fairly small and niche, we also want to bring together as many forces as possible.
Our next step, already in progress, is collaborating with a wide array of vendors and friends to provide reliable services and enjoyable experiences for everyone! Be it freelance photographers, makeup artists, florists or anyone, our one-stop shop can provide help or support. We want to become dedicated contributors in the industry, where we foster a collaborative environment to support its growth.
We can exclusively reveal here that we are currently in discussions to launch another line for the mass market. This line will feature simpler and budget-friendly gowns that are also European and of premium quality!
