DESCRIPTION:The Shape of Return brings a different side of the Maldives to Singapore through a contemporary art exhibition featuring works by 15 Maldivian artists\, running from 21 June to 5 July at Oevaali Art Gallery. \nPresented by Oaga Art Resort\, the Maldives’ only art resort\, the exhibition explores themes of identity\, memory\, belonging and cultural heritage through painting\, mixed media and visual storytelling. \nOriginally created as individual villa installations at Oaga Art Resort\, the artworks were part of Maldives: A Simple Story at Oaga\, and the collection is being shown together for the first time. \nPresented by Oevaali Art Gallery in collaboration with Suvāsthi by Oaga\, The Shape of Return offers a rare glimpse into the people\, stories and creative spirit that shape the Maldives beyond its turquoise waters and luxury resorts. Admission is free.
