With Singapore’s high-rise buildings towering over us left, right and centre, it’s no huge shocker that we have some of the best rooftop bars in the world. We’re spoiled with heaps of cool drinking spots that offer amazing views of the city, and we should darn well make the most of it. So let’s get to it! Presenting our seven best rooftop bars in Singapore (insert top-of-the-world experience quip here). Tip: If you don’t want to splash the cash when you have guests in town, down one posh drink at one of these rooftop spots and then head to a cheaper bar with awesome happy hour deals.
1-Altitude Bar’s reputation as Singapore’s highest alfresco bar is unparalleled, and everyone who’s “in” with the night scene knows about this brilliantly located spot (282 metres above sea level). Crowds often appear here in August (to catch the fireworks) and when the F1 comes to Singapore. Featuring a beautiful triangular rooftop compound with a 360-degree view of the breathtaking skyline, this should definitely be the first stop on your list.

Does a beer sound more appealing to you than hard liquor? If that is the case, LeVeL 33 might suit your tastebuds better. Known as the “world’s highest urban craft-brewery” (at, uh, the 33 floor), you will be able to get your fill of freshly brewed beer atop the Marina Bay Financial Centre – all while enjoying one of the best views of Marina Bay and the city skyline in Singapore.

Love the view, but hate the strong winds that spoil your hairdo? Good news for you – Zafferano features an alfresco bar area that does just that. The entire area is protected by glass panels that still allow a fantastic view of the financial area. You can scoff Italian cuisine and not worry that your pasta will fly away and hit someone 43 floors down.
Ocean Financial Centre, level 43 (Raffles Place MRT), call 6509 1488
While the outdoor bar at Zafferano is protected by glass panels, it is still open to the elements (i.e. Singapore’s rather infamous humidity) from above. If you want to avoid working up a sweat outside, Orgo offers a unique solution – the whole rooftop is enclosed in an air-conditioned glass cube. Enjoy the view of the city skyline from the top of Esplanade in comfort and style.
