The best women golfers on the planet will descend on Singapore as the city once again hosts the prestigious HSBC Women’s World Championship. Held at Sentosa Golf Club from 28 February to 3 March, the event will include not just amazing action on the fairways and greens, but F&B treats, games and other fun activities. Check out the highlights below!
#1 Be wowed by great golf
Over the four-day tournament, witness 48 of the world’s best 50 female golfers battle their way to the top of the leaderboard. Held at the New Tanjong Course, the championship will be headlined by current world number one and 2018 US Women’s Open Champion Ariya Jutanugarn. The young talent reclaimed the number one ranking in July 2018 and has won three majors over the course of her career. Also, look out for world number two Sung Hyun Park, who recorded seven top-10 finishes in 2018, including three victories and a second major win at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.
Joining them are defending champion Michelle Wie, Moriya Jutanugarn, Nelly Korda, Lexi Thompson, Brooke Henderson, world number eight and RICOH Women’s British Open Champion Georgia Hall and several former world number ones including So Yeon Ryu (South Korea), Inbee Park (South Korea), Shanshan Feng (China), Lydia Ko (New Zealand) and Minjee Lee (Australia).
#2 Enjoy fab F&B offerings
Keep your tummies happy with a great selection of food and drinks throughout the tournament. There’ll be tasty treats available from three popular local food trucks: Sawadeecup, offering Thai fusion snacks and dishes; Coffee Bandits, with their locally roasted coffee and gourmet sandwiches; and The Travelling C.O.W (Chef On Wheels), serving comfort food such as tacos. Cool down with fresh Thai coconut juice and organic coconut soft serve ice cream from Cocoloco or head to the Peroni Beer Garden and Aether Wine Bar at the Beat the Pro Lounge for some refreshing tipples.
#3 Take part in games at the Fan Village
Located at the driving range and boasting close-up views of the pros at work, the Fan Village will be packed with interactive activities and experiences across all four days. Challenge yourself at the Beat The Pro Lounge where you can attempt to top the scores set by LPGA Pros or try your luck at the Putt Putt Pinwheel where you can win some great prizes. You can also shop the latest products from sponsor brands such as Under Armour and New Moon, which will be available at exclusive promotional prices.
Best of all, you won’t miss the action on the course as the Village has a live broadcast LED screen for you to stay updated. Need a break? There’s also a comfy spectator rest area with bean bags, lounge chairs, picnic benches and parasols for all to enjoy.
