In the market for a unique Australian property investment?

17th December 2017 by Katie Roberts 3 Min Read

https://expatliving.sg/the-yards-australian-property-investment/

Looking for inner-city living and a convenient, connected lifestyle? The Yards Apartments, centrally located in King Street, Brisbane, are selling fast. You’ll need to move quickly to secure your piece of Australian property, though. Read on to find out more about the one- and two-bedroom apartments on offer at The Yards, and how you can attend an exhibition on the property in Singapore on Saturday, 18 November.

Australian property investment at The Yards
The Yards is a prime inner-city investment with Brisbane at your fingertips

While there may be other developments on the market, The Yards offers the best of Brisbane on the doorstep and a secure investment opportunity. There are a limited number of apartments and they’re selling fast – in fact, eager buyers snapped up 160 apartments in just four hours when the property was first launched.

The Investment

Queensland’s capital city is looking increasingly attractive as an Australian property investment option, with seven major projects totalling $12.4 billion set to boost the Brisbane economy by 2021. A significant gap has opened in property values between Sydney and Brisbane, supported by higher rental yields than are currently being experienced in both Sydney and Melbourne; this makes it a smart time to invest.

The Yards Apartments is the last residential opportunity located on King Street, the epicentre of the $2.9 billion Brisbane Showgrounds re-development. Spanning 22 hectares, the project is perhaps the most significant urban regeneration Queensland has seen and will become home to circa 2,800 residential apartments, five commercial towers, a five-level car park, world-class convention centre, four-star hotel, supermarket, childcare centre and over 40 retail shops.

The area is maturing at a rapid rate, with demographics, affordability and lifestyle driving the growth of this cosmopolitan precinct. According to advisory group Urbis, apartments that deliver more than just a place to live – but rather a mix of urban retail, convenience, lifestyle and entertainment – will show sustained desirability and are more likely to outperform the market.

The Neighbourhood

The Yards is located on Brisbane’s newest retail high street, King Street, a revitalised area buzzing with activity day and night with an eclectic mix of artisan dining, fresh food provedores and a lively bar scene. With a world-class early childcare centre, four-star hotel, supermarket, and a boutique barber, day spa and hair salon, the amenities are second to none.

At just 1.6km from Brisbane’s CBD, this is also a highly-connected community, with access to major road networks, bus interchanges and train stations, including Fortitude Valley station a mere 400 metres away. Also located within walking distance is the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Queensland’s largest teaching and research hospital, as well as a variety of other healthcare and fitness options.

Some of Brisbane’s best schools – All Hallows, St Joseph’s at Gregory Terrace, Brisbane Boys Grammar and Brisbane Girls Grammar – are also only kilometres away, not to mention leading tertiary education facilities including Queensland University of Technology, the University of Queensland and the Herston Hospital Campus of The University of Queensland.

The Apartment

Only a limited selection of the high quality one- and two- bedroom apartments are currently available. The architecturally designed apartments feature floor-to-ceiling glass windows, designer finishes, and inspiring kitchens with European appliances and stone benchtops. These apartments have style cred – not to mention the city views and northerly aspects to be enjoyed from your balcony.

What’s more, The Yard offers some of the best private residential facilities in the precinct. We know you’ll enjoy entertaining in the exclusive lifestyle zone “The Podium” with its outdoor kitchen where you can show off your MasterChef skills, a wood-fire pizza oven, yoga lawns, fitness centre, herb garden and pool. There’s even a big-screen TV to catch a movie or watch a sporting match with friends.
