Looking for new and exciting things to do in Singapore? ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands has always been a great place to entertain the whole family. To celebrate their fifth anniversary they’ve launched the brilliant new digital art exhibition, FUTURE WORLD: Where Art Meets Science.

The interactive and immersive display features 15 cutting-edge installations that come to life through science and technology – from digital butterflies that flutter away from your touch and a virtual aquarium where your fish drawing comes alive, to over 170,000 LED lights giving the illusion of stars moving in space.

The iconic lotus-inspired building has staged major exhibitions by some of the 20th century’s key artists, including Salvador Dalí, Andy Warhol and Vincent Van Gogh, and this latest and permanent attraction is set to receive just as much acclaim. Co-created with teamLab, a Japanese group of ultra-technologists and multi-award winning art collective, the digital playground spans 1,500 square metres (approximately a quarter of the museum’s total gallery space) and takes visitors on a journey of discovery through four key narratives – Nature, Town, Park and Space. And, audience participation is not only encouraged, it’s central to each installation!

‘Together, we have created a digital world that consists of major art installations and interactive projects for visitors of all ages, set in an ever-changing, always-evolving environment which puts visitors at the heart of the artworks. FUTURE WORLD is an invitation to have fun, to play and explore, but also to reflect on our own position relative to the natural world, other people and the universe. We hope to evoke in visitors a new and imaginative sense of wonder in the world around us,” said Honor Harger, Executive Director of ArtScience Museum.

For Singapore residents, admission is charged at $14 per adult, $7 per child (aged 2-12) and $11 for senior citizens, or there’s a family package (2 kids and 2 adults) for $35 and annual individual and family season passes for $90 and $150 respectively.

Visit Marina Bay Sands box offices or head over to their website for ticketing information, including details of standard tickets for out-of-towners. Plus, pick up your complimentary Sands Rewards LifeStyle card at any membership counter and get one complimentary ticket when you purchase one standard ticket at ArtScience Museum, as well as heaps of dining perks, spa savings and theatre show specials.
