If you thought Sundays can’t get any better, think again. Oscar’s Supercharged Sunday Brunch at Conrad Centennial Singapore comes up tops for its wide spread of premium seafood, meats, organic pasta and healthy shakes.
Ready to dive in? Start from the seafood bar, where you’ll find freshly shucked oysters all the way from France, Ireland and Canada. You can also look forward to Snow crab legs, Boston lobsters, Slipper lobsters, Sea prawns and Chilean half shell scallops. Sashimi lovers will enjoy the spread of fresh sashimi, from Tuna to Swordfish to Hamachi.
Equally impressive is the star of the show, Oscar’s version of the famous roast “London Duck”. As the ducks are imported from the farms in Ireland where farming standards are top-notch, the skin ends up crispy and meat succulent upon roasting. We’re also digging the oven roast US prime rib and the slow-roasted Argentinian, Mauritian or Chinese-style whole suckling pig available on weekly rotation.
For something more filling, go for the organic pasta live stations where you get to choose from two types of pasta or one risotto prepared on the spot with a variety of sauces. Then load it up with a selection of eight cheeses, three types of organic avocado oil with edible flowers, and exotic condiments like confit black garlic and Fleur de sel Guérande – talk about fancy!
There’s no leaving out of the local when it comes to Oscar’s Supercharged Brunch Buffet. Highlights are Singaporean delights like the ever-popular Oscar’s Laksa, slow-cooked Beef Cheek Noodles and Slipper Lobster Noodle with pork ribs.
When the guilt from all that feasting starts to kick in, load up on the greens at the four metre-long salad bar, where you’ll find more than 30 toppings like Montmorency cherries, gluten-free mung bean chips and Arame wild seaweed. Supercharged shakes are also freshly made upon request, and one will be spoiled for choice with the wide selection of superfoods like chia seeds, fresh fruits, Greek yogurt, Jarrah honey, and health supplements like Whey protein, Maca and Camu Powder.
Of course, no meal is complete without dessert. Enter dessert-heaven with rows and rows of sweet treats available, including Oscar’s black forest cake, coconut crunch and lime curd, and tofu and green tea panna cotta. We promise we won’t judge if you return for seconds or thirds, but don’t leave without trying the made-to-order options like the flambéed crepes suzette with Grand Marnier or Cointreau, and the homemade blueberry and maqui powder pancakes.
The Conrad Centennial Singapore Supercharged Sunday Brunch is available every Sunday, from 12.30pm to 3.30pm, at Oscar’s Restaurant, located on the lobby level.
