Fun staycations for families and foodies

23rd June 2021 by Expat Living 3 Min Read

With leisure travel still looking sketchy, a staycation can still be a good way to fill the gap – especially if you choose one that will make you feel like you’re on an overseas holiday. For some of you, this might be ocean views and sunset cocktails; for others, marble bathrooms and oversized luxurious beds. The Westin Singapore is currently offering two great staycation packages where you can enjoy all these things and more!

Staycations packages for family fun at The Westin

Why Westin?

 #1 Location

The hotel is situated on the very top floors of Asia Square Tower 2. Thanks to its vantage point, you’ll get to enjoy uninterrupted views of the South China Sea and the Marina Bay area during your stay. The MRT is on the doorstep, too – Downtown station is just a few minutes’ walk away. That means you can easily head out to explore other places around Singapore.

#2 Rooms

There are plenty of options for different preferences, from Deluxe and Premier Rooms to Junior and Harbour View Suites. They all take advantage of the great views on offer, courtesy of floor-to-ceiling windows. The bathrooms are also elegantly decked out in marble, with rain showers and freestanding tubs. And Westin’s signature Heavenly Bed plus Sleep Well Lavender Balm will help ensure you have a great night’s sleep. For those who need to catch up on some work, all rooms also come with ergonomic work desks and chairs.

#3 Facilities

The Westin Singapore’s outdoor infinity pool is on the 35th floor, overlooking the south coast. Choose your spot from the sunbeds, lounges, chairs and tables on offer, then relax and enjoy the view.

A spa sesh is always a good idea, so don’t miss the Heavenly Spa by Westin during your stay. The variety of treatments here includes massages, body wraps, facials and more. Products used are from Parisian beauty brand THÉMAÉ, with a focus on rejuvenation and renewal. Before or after your session, you can make full use of the whirlpool, aromatherapy steam bath and relaxation lounge.

Staycation packages on offer

The hotel has two great staycation options that are available from now until 30 June 2021! Both can be paired with the room of your choice.

For Families

Want to treat the brood? Opt for the Family Staycay package. It comes with daily breakfast for two adults and two kids (12 years and below) plus a complimentary rollaway bed. Plus, up to two young guests can eat free from the kids’ menu (with a paying adult). Kids will also get a complimentary tumbler where they can get free-flow juice from Cook & Brew and Lobby Lounge throughout the stay.

For Foodies

If you enjoy wining and dining, A Culinary Journey is a great pick. This staycation package will get you $80 dining credit to use at Cook & Brew, which offers bar favourites, local fare and an impressive array of fine wines and beers, and Lobby Lounge, which adds champagne and cocktails to the list. You’ll also enjoy a choice of either early check-in or late check-out, and two cocktails (or mocktails) on the house at Cook & Brew!

One tip for foodies is to try the new Seafood Afternoon Tea at Lobby Lounge. The mix of savoury and sweet treats includes highlights such as baked lobster thermidor and crab rolls; and dessert lovers will swoon over the platter of house-made chocolates, tartlets, French pastries, local kueh, scones and more. Sets come with a choice of tea or coffee. There’s a Cocktail Afternoon Tea and Champagne Afternoon Tea available, too; they all run from 12pm to 5pm on weekdays, and 2pm to 4pm and 4.30pm to 6.30pm on weekends.
