Singapore F1 2014: Guide to headliners including Robbie Williams and J-Lo across the Grand Prix weekend

Even if you’re not keen on car-racing, you’ll still want to race on over to Singapore’s Formula One to catch this year’s exciting performances. Friday 19 September

Mayday
This alternative rock quintet will kick off the F1 line-up on Friday, when it hits the Padang Stage in Zone 4. Dubbed “the Chinese Beatles”, they’ve sold over a million records since their debut 15 years ago. Known for highly energetic live performances and melodic Mandarin-language anthems, Mayday has released eight studio albums and received over 150 music awards to date. Entry to this concert is included with any three-day ticket, and with Zone 4 Walkabout tickets for the Friday of the F1 weekend.

 

 

Saturday 20 September

The Pet Shop Boys
The UK’s most successful music duo and three-time Brit Award-winning group is set to captivate audiences before the start of the F1 qualifying session on Saturday night at the Village Stage in Zone 1. Having sold more than 50 million records worldwide, Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe’s energetic electro-pop sound, avant-garde costumes and fervent fan base here will transform the Circuit Park into an electrifying pre-race party. Entry to the show is included with all three-day, Zone 1 tickets.

Robbie Williams
Returning to Singapore after 13 years, one of the UK’s biggest pop stars will perform after the F1 qualifying session on Saturday at the Padang Stage in Zone 4. Entry to Robbie Williams’ concert is included with all three-day F1 tickets and with Saturday single-day, Zone 4 Walkabout tickets.

Ziggy Marley
Fresh from winning Best Reggae Album at the 2014 Grammy Awards, Ziggy Marley – Bob Marley’s son – makes his debut in Singapore. His first gig of the weekend will take place on Saturday at the Village Stage in Zone 1. Access to this performance is included with any three-day, Zone 1 ticket.

 

 

21 September

Ziggy Marley
The six-time Grammy winner is back on Sunday for his second performance, this time at the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre Stage in Zone 4. This concert is accessible to all three-day ticketholders, as well as those with a Sunday single-day Zone 4 Walkabout ticket or a Sunday single-day Pit Grandstand special ticket.

John Legend
Known for his sexy, soulful R&B music, the nine-time Grammy Award-winner will serenade F1-goers at Sunday night’s race on the Village Stage in Zone 1. Fans can catch the “All of Me” singer’s pre-race performance with any three-day, Zone 1 ticket and with single-day Pit Grandstand special tickets for Sunday.

Jennifer Lopez
The global icon will headline the Padang Stage in Zone 4 on Sunday, after the main race. Since entering the music scene in the late 90s, “Jenny From the Blockhas sold over 80 million records worldwide, with hits including “If You Had My Love”, “Waiting for Tonight” and “Love Don’t Cost a Thing”, plus catchy tracks from J.Lo’s latest album, A.K.A. Entry to the performance is included with any three-day F1 ticket and with single-day, Zone 4 W­­­­­alkabout tickets for Sunday.
