Find out about this IB Diploma Scholarship!

18th March 2021 by Rebecca Bisset 2 Min Read

https://expatliving.sg/school-scholarship-ib-diploma-international-school-singapore/

Every academic year, Chatsworth International School offers a limited number of scholarships for the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) in Years 12 and 13, on a merit basis. The school scholarship programme was inaugurated in the academic year 2007-08. Since then, nearly 60 diploma scholarships have been awarded. Over the years, the scholarship scheme has been adapted to suit the different needs of their students.

While academic performance is the primary determinant for awarding scholarships, students are also recognised for their contributions at school in sport, artistic endeavour, community service, school spirit and leadership.

Here’s more information on the school scholarship programme:

100% scholarship

The full scholarship is valued at more than S$72,000 (based on a two-year IBDP) in total. It will pay for 100% of a student’s school fees and provide the student with a new Macbook laptop.

For the academic year 2021-22, Chatsworth continues to offer full scholarship to both internal and external applicants. External students currently in Year 11 (Grade 10) are welcome to apply for Chatsworth’s rigorous IBDP on scholarship.

Partial scholarship

Deserving students currently at Chatsworth can also avail of a partial scholarship that covers 25% of the school fees for the IBDP. (The partial scholarship is not available to students who are new to the Chatsworth diploma programme.)

Setting students up for success at universities and beyond

For over 25 years, Chatsworth has offered a well-rounded and challenging academic experience, at exceptional value. Their pool of highly qualified and experienced faculty deliver a robust curriculum. This has enabled Chatsworth graduates to achieve remarkable IB Diploma results – 100% pass rate and an average of 36 points for years 2020 and 2019.

Their graduates receive a wide range of university offers from over 200 universities all over the world. Among the high profile universities that students have been accepted to include University of British Columbia and University of Toronto in Canada; University of Manchester, University of Edinburgh, University of Bristol and University of Warwick in the United Kingdom; Harvard University, Princeton University, Boston University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Purdue University and Michigan State University in the USA.

A word from previous scholarship holders

“The Chatsworth scholarship helped to relieve my family’s financial burden and allowed me to focus on my studies. It also taught me a sense of responsibility and helped me to maintain high expectations for myself.” – Melody Song, Class of 2019

“Chatsworth offers an encouraging learning environment, provided me with exposure and gave me lifelong friends! IB is challenging, but you realise your true potential during this time. The skill-set that I gained during IB has been very useful and has helped me at university.” – Anjali Goyal, Class of 2015
