We at EL are always on the hunt for the best weekend brunch, so we’ve done our fair share of test-driving all-you-can-eat Sunday brunch restaurants with unlimited champagne and prosecco. But what if you prefer pigging out on the first day of the weekend instead? From casual Italian to delectable dim sum, we’ve put together our top Saturday brunch spots – that offer free-flow bubbly, no less!

#1 The Summerhouse

Located in a beautiful colonial bungalow in the redeveloped Seletar Aerospace Park, The Summerhouse is a multi-faceted dining enclave that offers nature-inspired cuisine prepared with home-grown ingredients. We’re dying to try their weekend brunch, which gives you choices of a salad, a main and a dessert.

When: Saturday and Sunday, 12pm to 2.30pm

This modern European communal restaurant has recently refreshed its menu, offering a series of delightful small and large plates perfect for sharing. The weekend brunch set gets you three small plates, one large plate and a dessert. Dishes include the oh-so-sinful Gruyere cheese soufflé with caramelised onions and Chardonnay fondue, pan-roasted barramundi with grilled asparagus and cured seaweed potato hash, and Bailey’s crème caramel to top it all off.

Craving some Argentinian fare? The Saturday brunch menu at Bochinche will please your tastebuds. Start with the oh-so-popular Provoleta, almonds and oregano honey ($17), a sweet and savoury vegan dish, then work your way through the fresh and hearty Faina and fried eggs with crushed avocado, coriander and “aji molido”crème fraiche ($22). Another one for dim sum fans, Mitzo’s weekend brunch features artisanal dim sum like steamed bamboo clam with minced garlic and spicy chilli lobster with buns, alongside crowd favourites including siew mai and barbecued pork. If you’re dining with the little ones, there’s a kids’ playroom completed with cartoons and activities to keep them occupied.
