Brought to fame by Aaron Sorkin’s TV show The West Wing, walking meetings or Walk and Talks are now being backed by government health departments around the globe. The US Surgeon General recommends that people take 10,000 steps a day to reduce the risk of disease and help lead a longer, healthier life.

One way to incorporate these steps into our busy lives is to conduct meetings on the hoof. The physical activity not only energises people but changing environments can help stimulate new ideas and creativity.
