Restaurant Review: The Prime Society at Dempsey in Singapore

The Prime Society
10 Dempsey Road #01-20
+65 6474 7427

This is a restaurant carnivores will love. Under the watchful eye of Chef Damon, you will be presented with some of the best of Australian beef cuts, cooked to perfection.

The owner’s passion for Pacific Rim cuisine shows in the menu. An absolute must to try is the highly marbled Wagyu beef from Victoria’s high country. Its rich taste of caramel and cereal will simply melt in your mouth. I also recommend their seasonal dish, an impressive sugar-cured salmon with cherries.

If you like your sweets, the dessert platter is a delight, especially combined with peppermint tea.

The ambience of this former barrack on Dempsey Hill is modern, complemented by a design that is chic with a colonial touch. With indoor and alfresco dining, it’s a great location with full bar service for those who simply want a drink and snacks.

Try the house drink, the Dempsey Breezer, a thirst-quencher with kick; and I still have a craving for another of their lychee martinis.

This is without doubt one of the best value grills in Singapore, and the steady crowd on a Wednesday night was testament to this. The menu is constantly evolving and all the meat dishes are prime.

Starters range from $12 to $24, and mains from $26 to $58. Be sure to check the daily specials board.
