If you haven’t already paid a visit to this exquisite piece of Paris in Singapore, then put it on your “to do” list.

It’s hard not to gush about this chic 37-seater bistro, which belongs to the famous French luxury brand Hediard, and is housed in the quaint Tudor Court. It really is the perfect place to kick back with friends and indulge in life’s finest, at a price that won’t empty your pocket.

Choosing from the set lunch menu ($25), I began with a flavour-filled, creamy yet light carrot soup that came with a slice of wholesome bread, fresh-baked on site. Next came the salad of the day, a substantial eggplant wrap with lip-smacking diced chicken on a bed of spinach leaves.

You can have a glass of wine (perhaps a bit decadent for lunchtime), one of their tea blends, or check out the unique range of cordials. Try the subtle, exotic flavours of the palate-popping Poppy Flower cordial.

Before you drag yourself away, drop into the adjoining boutique and see if you can resist taking home a bagful of chocolate, fruit jellies or other goodies including foie gras, caviar and salmon.
