Find the right property to rent fuss-free

22nd March 2020 by Rebecca Bisset 3 Min Read

https://expatliving.sg/property-to-rent-in-singapore-houses-and-apartment-for-rent/

Moving to Singapore as an expat and trying to find the right property to rent? It can feel like there are a million challenges to overcome: combing through rental property listings, making appointments to view places, budget planning and dealing with multiple agents and documents, to name a few. You might just give in and settle for less! But there’s a one-stop-shop option that can make things simpler: you can choose an apartment or a house, all owned by one landlord.

Far East Organization is the largest private residential landlord in Singapore, and they’ve been around for 60 years. (So, they should know what they’re doing!) The whole renting experience can be made easier, more efficient and even enjoyable dealing with just one person – one agent who can cover all the properties. Don’t know how long you’re going to be in Singapore? Some of their places have six-month rentals – far better than getting locked into the normal two-year lease.

Here are just some of the apartments and houses for rent through Far East:

Tips for renting a property in Singapore

If you’re looking to find the right property to rent in Singapore, here are some recommendations from the team at Far East.

#1 Know who you can rely on

“When making the huge decision of renting a property, it’s crucial that you never feel like you’re alone. With Far East Organization, you have a corporate landlord and a customer-centric organisation. Our advantage is a dedicated and professional leasing team with a proven track record, providing a range of services and resources simply unattainable through private landlords. Also, our response line for urgent repairs is open 24/7 – we’re committed to making sure you and your house are always in good hands, helping you feel at home away from your home country. No matter what issues you face concerning your rented home, from leasing matters to everyday situations, we’re just a call away.”

#2 Know your needs and wants

“Before jumping headfirst into the property market, you have to know what you need and want for your ideal home. If you don’t know what exactly constitutes your dream home, you might have a hard time finding one. Here are some ideas to consider:

If you need to have a community to connect with to maintain an active social life, narrow your search to residences with gated communities – condos and cluster houses, for example. On the other hand, if you have a family with small children and need enough space for peace and quiet when you get home, a bungalow would be a better fit. Got a green thumb? If you want to keep your own outdoor garden, condos might not be the best option. Then again, if you love working out, they offer the convenience of gym and pool facilities right at your doorstep!

Some things are just more personally necessary to your happiness and well-being than to others. After all, it wouldn’t be a dream home if your basic needs and wants aren’t met. Far East Organization has a selection of residential types available for rent: condominiums, cluster houses, bungalows, conservation terraces and more. Whatever diverse needs and wants your lifestyle requires, there’s something for everyone.”

#3 Know where you want to be

“Every part of Singapore – whether you’re in the Central, North, East or West zone – has its own unique highlights to explore. The Central region is the heart of the bustling city centre and CBD, while the North has more to offer in terms of nature hotspots and parks. In the West, you’ll find an expansive land area with large housing estates. The East, meanwhile, is known for its outdoor recreation and water facilities.

Far East has residences located in the most sought-after districts all over Singapore; it’s only a matter of time before you find the home that suits your individual lifestyle needs, in an area that suits you. You can take your pick of properties islandwide without a worry.

Finding a property is no walk in the park, but now that you’ve established a clearer idea of what’s important to you, you’re on good footing to a successful journey. Don’t waste any more time: have a look at the properties available with Far East Organization, and take another step closer to living in your dream home.”
