This will save you a bundle on fees

3rd June 2019 by Monica Pitrelli 2 Min Read

https://expatliving.sg/preschool-fees-singapore-mindchamps-welcome-day/

The talk about school fees mostly centres around international schools in Singapore. But with some neighbourhood preschools topping $30,000 a year, preschools are now earning a spot in the convo, too. That’s why dropping into Welcome Day at MindChamps is a good option for those suffering from preschool sticker shock. Welcome Day runs from 25 May through 13 July, and parents who register a child during the event are eligible for some great deals – as much as $2,607 in savings, to be exact.

Money aside, picking a preschool isn’t easy. School tours are helpful but parents often leave with unanswered questions, such as: Will my child be happy? What are the teachers like? And what exactly will my child do at school? MindChamps Welcome Day aims to answer these questions and more. You can meet the teachers personally and see the classes and children in action. You can ask questions about the curriculum, explore the facilities and talk to the principal and the staff. It’s your chance to understand exactly what a day-in-the-life of a pre-schooler is really like.

Welcome Day Mindchamps

Interested? Here are three things the MindChamps team would particularly like to highlight to prospective parents:

1. Location, location, location

One of the first tips experienced parents give to others who are shopping around for a preschool is to find a location close to home or work. Initially, you don’t think shuttling the children around will bother you, but trust us – it can quickly get tiresome. MindChamps has 39 centres across Singapore. Thirty-nine! There’s a location in Paragon, Raffles Town Club, City Square Mall and Leisure Park Kallang. There’s even a centre at One Raffles Place for parents who want to save time by combining their office and preschool commutes.

2. Balance of academics & fun

Preschool can and should be fun. But that doesn’t mean kids can’t learn a great deal in the process. MindChamps’s unique 3-Mind education model – designed to cultivate the Champion Mind, the Learning Mind and the Creative Mind – equips children for success in a rapidly-changing, globalised environment. The approach, coupled with over two decades of research and development in education, psychology, neuroscience and theatre, form the basis of the MindChamps PreSchool S.M.I.L.E.S. curriculum. Children aged 18 months to 6 years enjoy the preschool’s proprietary programmes for reading and writing, language and numeracy. They also have a core programme called  “The Love for Chinese Language”, which is a perennial parent favourite.

Many activities are crafted around play at the preschool. Sometimes kids experiment and learn on their own. Other times they are given just enough structure to lead to a learning outcome. Children are also treated to an array of enrichment programmes to bring out their creative sides, including Creativity & Theatrical Strategies, Gourmet Moments, NeuroMooves and Music for the Mind.

3. Training is taken seriously

Since many MindChamps’ programmes are unique to their centres, teachers undergo up to 200 hours of mandatory training and accreditation to learn how to deliver its one-of-a-kind curriculum. And it’s not just the teachers who carry the credentials. MindChamps is backed by a team of professors and academic professionals from the US, UK and Australia.
