Known for its covetable curation of pre-loved designer clothing, bags, and accessories, online store StyleTribute.com has taken things offline with its first concept store at Suntec City. It’s been four years since StyleTribute.com landed on Singapore’s shores. The brainchild of Belgo-French entrepreneur Stephanie Crespin, the online marketplace enables you to scroll through, browse and shop hundreds of second-hand designer pieces at a glance, like Hermès bracelets, YSL clutches and Chanel jackets. The best part? They’re all discounted at between 50 to 90 percent of their original retail price.
Now, for the first time, the pre-loved designer clothing destination has ventured offline and set up shop at Suntec City, so you can now browse in person. The huge new space resembles a funky, beautifully curated wardrobe and is ever changing, with new items added every two weeks. There’s also a drop-off point in store for sellers, so you can bring along your pieces to consign.
Inside, you’ll be struck by the huge shoe and bag walls which showcase covetable designs by labels like Christian Louboutin, Balenciaga, Hermès and Jimmy Choo. The StyleTribute team also raid the wardrobes of celebrities and industry influencers – an ongoing campaign they call Unlocking Her Wardrobe – and you can shop them all here. As an added convenience, if you have a wishlist of items you love from their website, you can drop them a note and they’ll bring the pieces to the store for you to try on.
To me, what sets StyleTribute apart is their careful curation of their labels, and it’s something that has stayed true despite their rapid growth. With a focus on style over brand, you won’t just find your typical high-end design names like Chanel and Diane von Furstenberg here, but also smaller designers such as Ash, Badgley Mischka, Bec & Bridge and Sonia Rykiel. This means there’s a varied price point too, so it’s possible to bag a really great deal.
If the thought of buying second-hand clothing makes you squeamish, fear not! The StyleTribute team make it a point to make sure anything they sell on is in good, excellent or like-new condition. Plus, buying pre-loved designer clothing is a far more sustainable way to shop, so you can give yourself a pat on the back knowing you’re making a more responsible purchase.
