It’s a fact of life that, as we age, our skin produces less collagen, affecting our overall level of skin moisture. That’s why lines and wrinkles set in, and our complexion inevitably becomes more dull and dry. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a recognised and important ingredient in skincare that works to hydrate and plump up the skin. Here we take a look the latest product from German skincare brand Eucerin, the new Hyaluron-Filler Overnight Treatment. Inspired by dermatological treatments, this multi-tasking, overnight serum promises to combat dry skin and the related signs of ageing while keeping the skin hydrated and radiant.
With over a century of history, Eucerin is known for its dermatological skincare that suits all skin types, including sensitive. The new Hyaluron-Filler Overnight Treatment ($84.90) is no exception; its dual-action, anti-aging formula has been clinically proven to treat multiple signs of ageing on all types of skin, while restoring the skin’s radiance overnight.
Behind the science
There’s an innovative “dual chamber” system at work here, with a single pump dispensing both an exfoliating emulsion and a moisturising serum. The two formulas are freshly combined with each pump, working in tandem to treat dull and dehydrated skin. The Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) with saponin complex helps to chemically exfoliate and stimulate cell renewal overnight. The hyaluronic acid serum, meanwhile, contains long-chain HA to keep the skin moisturised, and short-chain HA that penetrates deep into the skin to plump up the tissue and reduce wrinkles.
A study was conducted on 150 women who used the Hyaluron-Filler Overnight Treatment every night over a course of four weeks, and the result spoke for itself. The product was well-received, achieving over 95 percent satisfaction rate in terms of refining the skin’s texture and making it more radiant after just one week of daily use!
