New Year’s Eve in Singapore: The best dinners and parties!

Haven’t planned your end of year celebrations yet? Have no fear – we’ve rounded up some of the most happening events, entertainment and restaurants on the island to get you feeling inspired. Happy holidays!

We do a firework well here in Singapore 

Parties

1-AltitudeLevel 61, 62 and 63, One Raffles Place, 048616
Bring in the New Year whilst taking in the spectacular view from 1-Altitude’s roof top bar and club. Entry costs $68 inclusive of two drinks, whilst $200++ will get you free flow drinks from 10:00pm till midnight. Table books available with a minimum spend of $200++ per person.
They’ll also be serving dinner beforehand at their Stellar restaurant, with the first seating from 6:00 to 8:30pm at $168++ and the second seating from 9:00pm till countdown at $282++.

KU DE TA, 1 Bayfront Avenue, 018971
You can expect nothing short of magnificence at the majestic The Royal Ball themed party at KU DE TA Club Lounge. See in 2014 with astounding views of the bay’s fireworks display whilst you dance away to top hits and commercial tunes. Their restaurant will also have a special New Years menu put together by executive chef Frederic Faucheux, which will include a series of delicacies such as Lobster Tempura, Spicy Miso Black Cod and Wagyu Beef Sirloin.

Pangaea10 Bayfront Avenue, 018956
Well-known for their crazy parties, this year Pangaea is hosting are pulling out all the stops for an extravagant ‘Decadence’ themed party.
Admission: $120, $214++ for free flow of Moet & Chandon from 10:00pm to 1:00am.

Tanjong Beach Club, 120 Tanjong Beach Walk, 098942
See the New Year in at Tanjong Beach Club. Expect beach balls, floating lanterns, fire-twirlers and lots of confetti! 9:00pm till late.

Siloso Beach Party, 51 Imbiah Walk, 099538
Usher in 2014 with Asia’s largest beach count down with dusk-to-dawn festivities party (6pm till 6am – if you last that long!). Expect two stages (a beach and a foam pool stage), tons of DJs spinning awesome tracks.

Emmanel Stroobant’s 9-course Perrier-Jouët New Year’s Eve dinner menu sets the perfect tone for 2014 – elegance, stunningly good food and a bank account that isn’t left in tatters when the party finally ends.The tasting menu is a seafood extravaganza, with langoustine tartare tataki, poached kumamoto oyster, grilled dover sole fillet, razor clams and slow-roasted turbot, not to mention a delectable champagne sorbet with caviar. For meat-eaters, there’s Japanese coal-smoked goose breast and 400-day aged Angus beef pave, plus more. Much more. Meals come with a glass of Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut and Perrier-Jouët Blason rosé.

The Westin Singapore, 12 Marina View, 018961
From 6:30-10:00pm, the hotel’s signature restaurant Seasonal Tastes will be serving a lineup of gourmet festive delights from its five interactive kitchens, accompanied by a life band performance.

From 10:30-12:30am, the party will leave The Westin and continue at the Cook & Brew gastro bar on Level 33 where you can take in breath-taking views of the city skyline and spectacular fireworks.

Catalunya Restaurant82 Collyer Quay, 049327
This year, Spanish restaurant Catalunya plays host to culinary maestro Albert Adria, who will be visiting Singapore for the first time from Barcelona. Dine on exquisite tapas dishes and champagne, then head on up to the NYE party on the restaurants rooftop to see in the New Year. Dinner service begins from 6:00pm.

Ki-Sho, 29 Scotts Road, 228224
Omakase fine-dining restaurant Ki-Sho will be concocting a seafood menu of only the most quality ingredients prepared in front you. Expect Abalone and char-grilled King Crab, a selection of tuna dishes and steamed Ankimo in homemade sauce. The meal includes a complimentary glass of Dom Perignon or Sake.

Capella,1 The Knolls, 098297
Between the 26th and 30th of December, guests at Capella Singapore can enjoy a kaleidoscope of festive activities, including their festive set lunch and dinner menus which will feature mouth-watering creations by Executive Chef David Senia.
Menu highlights include a Cod Fish with Portobello Mushrooms and Champagne Butter Sauce and a Roasted Turkey Breast with Salsify Confit, Chestnut and natural truffle jus. Contact +65 6951 5000 for reservations

Buona Terra, 29 Scotts Road, 228224
On New Year’s Eve, dine at Buona Terra as Chef Denis presents the freshest ingredients and catch of the season in a delectable six-course dinner, which will include a range of fresh mixed seafood dishes including Amberjack Carpaccio with sea urchin and caviar, blue lobster salad and spicy scorpion fish soup. Pasta fanatics will love the truffle-tossed ricotta and spinach ravioli with egg. The dinner includes a glass of full-bodied Chardonnay.

Bacchanalia, 23A Coleman Street, 179806
See your new years in at Bacchanalia with an indulgent five-course sharing menu including caviar, fois gras and chicken liver parfait and grain fed Australian black angus tenderloin. A complimentary glass of Moet included.

Pan Pacific, 7 Raffles Boulevard, 039595
Seafood and meat lovers will love the spread on offer from the Pan Pacific for NYE, which will be based on an interactive dining experience offering a culinary tour of the Pacific Rim. Choose from Alaskan king crab, French oyster, Boston lobster, Iberico ham, salt crusted whole salmon, risotto with winter truffle and much much more.
Price: $288 per adult (inclusive of free flow Mumm champagne, selected wines, cocktails and beers). $144 per child 6 to 12 years old (inclusive of soft drinks and juices)

Mandarin Oriental, 5 Raffles Avenue, 039797
Enjoy either a five or six course set menu and a glass of Champagne at the hotel’s Dolce Vita restaurant ($248 or $298 per person respectively), or a buffet BBQ dinner at their MELT – The World Cafe restaurant ($198 per person including free flow champagne, wine, beer, cocktails, soft drinks and juices.)
