If you’re something of a magpie and love collecting gorgeous shiny things like we do at Expat Living, then the news of Bespoke Living’s new, bigger space opening in Scotts Square Mall will be music to your ears. The lifestyle store carries a huge range of contemporary home décor accessories, accents and curios, objet d’art, and made-to-order statement pieces. Its style ranges from understated luxe and old-world opulence, to contemporary glamour, and even if you go in for just a window-shop you’ll probably come out with something you never realised you wanted until you went there.
Curated Home Décor
Collections are sourced from across the globe, and at the helm of it all stands owner Schezene Khan. The mother of five children, who has lived in Singapore for ten years, has also found the time to curate the entire collection as part of her passion for beautiful home style and decor.
Her aim is to create conversation starters, and this is evident in the décor pieces you spot across the showroom, including the capiz-shell tea-trays with drawers, gold-rimmed agate-stone napkin rings, and triple-tiered bird-cage dessert servers. Then there are the fiery red magnifying glasses, glitter candles in a myriad of colours, and opulent candelabras, which inject some discreet old-school charm. Or the antelope-shaped bookends, which add some fun into a stack of coffee-table books.
So, head to this newly opened mecca, and enjoy a browse – with prices starting from $30, you don’t have to worry about blowing the budget; and, as Schezene reminds us, “beautiful things go in and out of fashion, but never out of style.”
