Why a professional cleaning service is a must!

15th October 2021 by Rebecca Bisset 4 Min Read

https://expatliving.sg/mattress-cleaning-singapore-plus-clean-sofa-and-carpet/

So you’re enjoying your perfect sofa, or that really comfy mattress you wanted, and you can’t stop admiring your nice carpets and rugs. They might have cost you a fair bit, but you’re happy – and you know they’ll last for ages. Now, you want to look after your investments and keep them looking and feeling new for as long as possible. That means some home care plus investing in a premium quality upholstery cleaning service. Whether that’s mattress cleaning, a sofa clean or carpet cleaning, it can make a huge difference. Here are some before and afters, and advice on what can work.

#1 Stains

That first stain on anything can be heartbreaking. The good news: it doesn’t have to be there forever – if you know how to manage it. Some of the most common staining agents include red wine, orange juice and tomato stains. Even tea and coconut water should be attended to immediately. (I unfortunately learned this through personal experience.) If in doubt, get a proper carpet cleaning service company on the job.

The CleanCare team hear comments like this so often. “Once I spilt red wine over my Nepalese silk rug, and instead of calling a professional carpet cleaner, I googled ‘home remedies’ to get the stain out. But, the more I scrubbed, the larger the stain area got.”

Their sofa cleaning services, whether it’s a leather or fabric sofa, can also get rid of most stains. And it’s way cheaper than getting it reupholstered or buying new. So don’t try to go it alone, especially if it’s on expensive fabrics.

#2 Get a clean routine

Just as we have skincare routines that help us feel our best, our furniture needs a clean and care routine to look and feel its best.

For mattresses, they are constantly filling up with dead skin and other matter (we won’t go there…). A professional mattress cleaning service really is the only way to go – and it will prolong the life of a good mattress too. The experts at CleanCare say that mattresses need special care. They equip their technicians with the best knowledge and training to execute the proper cleaning procedures for the items, and they have an in-house R&D team that constantly scouts and search for advanced top quality premium products to enhance their cleaning services in Singapore.

Tiny dust particles that our naked eye cannot see are constantly accumulating on our carpets and upholstery. These particles can be a health hazard, especially for those with allergies, sensitive skin or asthma. They also cause things to look older than they actually are. Regular vacuuming is good but it just skims the surface. A professional carpet cleaning service twice a year will definitely prevent the kind of build-up that can lead to health issues. as well as keep it looking good.

Many of us in Singapore shy away from leather sofas, as we’re afraid they may get mouldy, crack, or look old quickly. The truth is, leather sofas can look great for decades with a bit of TLC and a proper leather sofa clean every couple of years.

#3 Disinfect and sanitise your home (and office)

Young children bring their own set of food and playdough hazards to carpets, which only a good carpet cleaning service will sort. That tray on the high chair was never wide enough for my kids!

Most of us try to keep our homes free from germs for everyone anyway, but in light of COVID-19, it’s advisable to take it one step further and increase your deep-cleaning sessions. Think of it like your twice-yearly dental cleaning. Regular deep-cleaning companies thoroughly wipe down and disinfect surfaces, which looks good. However, they usually lack the expertise and tools to properly disinfect and sanitise special materials such as rugs, fabric sofas and mattresses.

If you have pets at home, you could have pet hair, fungi, fleas and mites in the mix. Pets also bring an odour to a home that us pet owners get used to, but it’s apparent to everyone else. Having a regular carpet cleaning service can definitely help all those issues.

These tips don’t just apply to homes! Many of us work in offices that have carpets, sofas and fabric chairs. If you ever have  an attack of allergies at work, a carpet shampoo service could be just what your office needs so you can all feel better.

An added bonus is that with these premium quality upholstery services, they come to your home. So you don’t have to have empty floors for a while, or ship furniture anywhere.

With Christmas coming up and opportunities for having people round again, it’s a good time to take advantage of this promotion to get your home looking (and smelling) its best!

Current promos:

  • From 10% off for first-time customers
  • Up to 50% off for regular deep cleaning
