Following the success of their first Singapore store at Lam Soon building in Bukit Batok, interior styling firm Arete Culture has expanded their philosophy of affordable luxury to their second store, at the centrally located Tan Boon Liat building near Tiong Bahru.
This gallery store, although smaller than their flagship showroom, carries a select range of home accessories and soft furnishings with an emphasis on luxurious and natural materials such as mother-of- pearl and wood finishes. You’ll also find a selected range of original, contemporary art, oversized handmade wall mirrors, glass lanterns, ceramic vases, centre pieces, lacquered trays and scented candles.
Did someone say customized, in only 3 weeks?
“Customising products is such an easy way to instantly update your home and pull together a look of luxury,’ says Caroline Chin Geyler, founder and head stylist of the company. ‘We believe a bespoke service does not have to be expensive and always strive to offer quality products at affordable prices.”
And if it’s customisation you’re after, head straight to their their full-suite customisation service at the Tan Boon Liat store, where you’ll be able to tailor-make products and select accent pieces to your exact specifications. The Luxe Hotel Collection, their beautiful in-house range, now offers complete customisation for ottomans and footstools, chaise lounges, peacock chairs, lampshades, headboards and silk duvets.
There’s a choice of over 30 colours in various fabrics from cotton and linen to velvet. And if you’re after something more eye-catching, they have a gorgeous range of printed designs too. If you still can’t find just what you are looking for, Arete Culture also offers upholstery in fabrics designed by international textile and design house Korla, and gorgeous cushions and throws from leading Australian line Linen & Moore.
And those daily little luxuries…
You’ll find luxury bed linen label Sleep Naked (if it’s good enough for the Hyatt, W Hotel worldwide, and even the iconic Claridge’s in London, we’ll give it a go!) and other renowned international picks that include candles from Maison by Amanda Dyer, luxury fragrances, toiletries by Cochine, and hand-poured soy candles by The Soi Company – some great gift ideas here!
Let your walls come alive with affordable, original art
Their original and internationally sourced art collection features mostly contemporary pieces, including large canvas prints of versatile abstract art from Urban Road, as well as art panels and frames from Designer Boys (featured in 5-star resorts such as The Chedi, Hilton Hotels, and Haymand Island Penthouses).
If you’re looking for some Asia-inspired pieces, you’ll find original watercolours from Singapore-based artist Davi Beschizza , Scandinavian-inflected, Asian-themed paintings by Danish artist Christina Jenson of White Emotions and colourful oil paintings by French artist Karen Charmoille.
