Kids rooms from all over the world

25th February 2019 by Kel Flanders 3 Min Read

https://expatliving.sg/kids-bedroom-furniture-gautier-in-singapore/

Their cultures and living conditions maybe different, but these children all have one thing in common. With the help of children’s furniture specialist Gautier, they’ve created their own safe space to dream big for the future.

The Gautier Tribe project encourages young people around the world to share their bedroom and, therefore, their universe. Over five million children throughout the world sleep in or have slept in a Gautier bedroom, with its space-saving, modular and healthy furniture.

Want to get some ideas for your own children’s bedrooms? Meet these kids!

Mikhail (5), Russia Five-year-old

Mikhail lives in Moscow with his parents and one-year-old sister. Outside school, he plays several sports including football but he also loves car racing, and dreams of becoming a racing car driver one day. Mikhail speaks three languages: English, Spanish with his family, and Russian with his friends.

In his Gautier bedroom, he pretends to be a ship captain. He sleeps on the top bunk and his friends sleep on the bottom.

“In my room, I feel like a sea captain!”

Mikhail Russia

Mais (17), Saudi Arabia

Mais lives in Riyadh. During her free time, she likes drawing, going to Al-Mamlaka (Kingdom Centre) and to the Hayat Mall to go shopping with her friends. She also likes Justin Bieber and Wal Kfoury, a Lebanese singer.

“I want to be a doctor.”

Mais

Yasmine (9), Lebanon

Yasmine lives in Beirut with her parents and two brothers. She dreams of becoming a champion gymnast. She has already travelled to France and Dubai but her favourite place was England. Her dog, a Pointer Collie cross, is called Rocky.

“My advice for kids: don’t ever litter if you want to live. Because in Beirut there is a lot of rubbish on the road.”

Yasmine

Solen (6), Belgium

Solen is a primary school boy who lives in Brussels with his brother and parents. He’s now learning how to read and add up. He likes reading the Smurfs and loves dogs and particularly the English cocker spaniel.

“I’ve been to Spain and France. I preferred France and especially my holidays in l’Île de Ré, on the west coast.”

Solen

Aiwei (7) and Qiwei (4), Singapore

Aiwei sleeps in the loft bed every night. In the day, she does work at the desk below. She loves how her pink room makes her feel safe and relaxed. Her younger sister Qiwei enjoys visiting her and all the soft toys in the bed for pretend play. It’s a lovely spot where they feel on top of their own world. Aiwei would like to be a scientist and Qiwei a doctor when they grow up.

“Everyone should find time to play. The world is a happier place when everyone smiles.”

Aiwei and Qiwei

Juliana (10), Bulgaria

Juliana lives in Sofia with her brother and her parents. To her, Bulgaria is a beautiful country with beautiful mountains and lots of orthodox churches and monasteries. “Advice to the young people of the world? Be better people.”

Julianna

Feras (14), Saudi Arabia

Feras is a 14-year-old schoolboy from Riyadh, Saudia Arabia. He has one sister and three brothers (two are twins). He’s crazy about football and has always wanted to fly planes.

“I want to be a pilot in the future; I really would like it.”

Firas

Jia (3) and Jun (1), Singapore

Jia and Jun love their bedroom. The simple design, with no sharp edges and a natural colour, make it a great space to relax and play.

Kel Flanders

Kel loves carrot cake (black, of course), brunch, French rosé and stinky cheese.  As a mum of two small humans and one large human (the husband), her precious spare time is spent hiding from her girls, eating (their) chocolate and reading a good teen-fantasy novel. Usually about vampires.
