Fancy earning more cash, but struggling to find a way upwards in your current job? It’s easy to feel as if the grass (and cash) would be greener in a different industry – but you don’t want to jack in your skills for just anything.
To give you a hand, we’ve dug out this infographic, created by the hardworking chaps over at Open Colleges. It reveals which college graduates will earn the most money in 2013, which can also be interpreted as ‘Hey, want to be rich? Get your asses into this sector!’
Based on the statistics, compiled by the National Association of College and Employers, the average wage in the West has risen 5.3% for 2013 and is now set at US $45,000. Almost all disciplines experienced an increase in salary, with engineering leading the way. There was a huge leap in the field of Health Sciences, which experienced a jump of 9.4% up to US$45,442. The lowest gain was in the Humanities and Social Sciences industry, which only saw a 1.9% increase to $37,058.
Now, if you don’t mind, we’re off to mine some oil.
