A family day out at this indoor playground

19th October 2020 by Lindsay Yap 4 Min Read

Looking for family activities or holiday fun for kids? On our list is Kiztopia at Marina Square, a cool indoor playground in Singapore where the kids can burn off extra energy while having a great time and learning new skills. Perfect for a family day out, this edutainment centre has all sorts of interactive activities to keep kids (and parents) happy and entertained. We take a look at some highlights.

What to expect

Kiztopia is located on the first floor of Marina Square mall – ideal for a mid-shopping break. The indoor playground caters to children aged 12 and below, and takes up a sprawling 18,000 square feet. And it has over 15 different play zones for kids to explore!

With the motto “Play to Learn, Learn through Play”, the park’s zones have key learning objectives for children, where they can develop useful skills as they play. For instance, they can improve balance and motor skills at the obstacle courses. At the role-play stations, they’ll learn concepts about everyday items around them. As children interact with one another, they’ll also pick up social cues and communication skills.

Exciting zones to check out

Active little ones who love to run and climb will have a blast at Cosmic Space. This area has five slides and other fun climbing equipment. They’ll also enjoy zipping down the giant slides into the huge ball pit at Mojo Zone, and jumping till their heart’s content at Trampio (with three fun trampolines to try out). Do your kids want a bit of a challenge? They can show off their skills at the exciting Ninja Warrior obstacle course.

Those who enjoy role play will love Kiztopia’s mini kitchen, supermarket and hair salon. At Bell’s Cuisine, little chefs can use stoves and other kitchen equipment to whip up a feast. There’s also Raby’s Mart, which comes with stocked shelves of fruit, veggies and other items. Children can pick a shopping cart, stroll along aisles and “pay” at the check-out counter. Or, they can choose to take on the role of a cashier or staff member by stocking groceries on the shelves. There’s also Tina’s Snip, where they can play dress-up and get creative.

The indoor playground also houses two AR zones. At Alley Oop Mark, kids throw mini basketballs into a projected hoop. Over at the AR Wall, young ones create mini fireworks on an interactive wall. Other fun activities on offer include music and guessing games at Chichi’s World and driving mini cars at Pio’s Drift.

At Pepe’s Ball, toddlers can look forward to hours of fun jumping in the ball pit and going down the slide. They’ll also enjoy digging and building creations at Raby’s Pit. While you’re there, check the schedule and take a ride on board the cute Chug Eli train; it’s the perfect photo op! You’ll also want to pop by Hero Square to catch the park’s mascots live on stage and take part in activities such as crafts and meet-and-greets.

Family-friendly amenities plus a café at this indoor playground

Kiztopia encourages family time and aims to be a fun space for parents and children to enjoy playing and learning together. It’s equipped with facilities to make your outing with the brood much easier. So, there are complimentary lockers, a dedicated stroller lot, and toilets and a family room conveniently located just outside the park. Before you leave, pop by the gift shop for some cute merchandise.

A new in-house café is also now open. Kith Kiztopia MS has an all-day menu of yummy kid-friendly dishes, including soups, pastas, pizzas and brunch items. Little ones can choose from a special kids’ menu offering set meals such as macaroni and cheese and chicken tenders; each set comes with a Kiztopia character brownie!
