Highchair road test: We trial three popular options for infants and toddlers

By: Katie Roberts

When you’re looking for a convertible highchair or chair-and-table set for a toddler, you need to consider durability, size and storage options, as well as ease of use. We put the NUUN Kids Ohplay, Stokke Tripp Trapp and Geuther Nico Highchair to the test.

#1 NUUN Kids Ohplay (combination of Osit and Hchair)

“Our 19-month-old found the Osit chair easy to use with the cushion and back rest. Adding the optional T-bar, straps and tray would work well for a younger child (six months or so), although there’s no way to raise the height without buying the separate Ustructure. Under the table is a roll of paper and a slot to pull a new sheet through, which is a great idea that gives kids access to colouring activities. They stack well for storage, and in a stored position you can still use the Hchair for an older child. It would be better if the table had a lip on it to stop crayons falling off.” – Katie Peace
