Are you staying on the island over Christmas and wondering how on earth you’re going to fill that time? Maybe you have friends or family in town and are looking to treat them to a free-flow brunch? This Christmas, dining options don’t get much wider than at Pan Pacific Singapore. We’ve raved about their brunch at Edge many-a-time – the longest free-flow brunch on the island! And, we’ve always been fans of the St Gregory spa, which uses the much coveted Elemis products. From tea to facials, here are six things to do and try at Pan Pacific Singapore this holiday season:
Book in for a brunch!
Throughout November and December, Edge will be offering up its festive menu. We particularly like the look of the Festive Sunday Champagne Brunch available every Sunday this December. Four hours of free-flow (did someone say unlimited Veuve Clicquot Champagne?) and seven live stations. We’ve heard it’s so massive that you need a map to navigate your way around! The live stations include; special Christmas ham, wagyu beef striploin and hot smoked salmon bella vista – feed us, now!
If you’re staying in for Christmas Day lunch you’ll be wanting to make that dining table look pretty. Pacific Marketplace, the hotel’s gourmet grocery and cafė – has it covered with its range of festive table centrepieces, available for order from 15 November. If you’re going down the traditional route, try the traditional roasted turkey with cornbread, sausage, apple and pecan stuffing. The health-conscious might prefer the healthy coconut, honey and cinnamon ham. There’s an array of desserts to take away for the table too – we’ve got our eye on the manjari dark chocolate mousse log cake with apricot spices and chocolate muffin sponge.
A spot of afternoon tea
Hand-ups who’s a sucker for a finger sandwich? Us too! There’s something so indulgent about going out for afternoon tea and it’s a lovely treat if you have family or visitors. The Atrium has a special festive afternoon tea set on offer daily this December, including the mini spinach cone with feta cheese and pistachio amongst the many savoury and sweet treats. Think three tiers of yumminess – spice it up and add a glass of Champagne into the mix too!
Try a dim sum brunch
Your Christmas guests might have flown a long way to see you and they shouldn’t leave without sampling the Asian fare. Hai Tien Lo is offering a Christmas and New Year dim sum brunch which will showcase over 60 classic and modern bites: braised whole abalone with pearl mushroom in abalone sauce, double-boiled mini buddha jumps over the wall plus a kong bak pau live station! As ever – there’s a Champagne option!
Let’s not just talk food, let’s talk pampering too! If you haven’t tried the Elemis product range yet, take it from us – they are divine! St Gregory Spa is the only stockist on the island and the only spa that uses this brand, so form an orderly queue ladies. Before you take on options 1-4, have some R and R and book in for one of the many treatments on offer at this little oasis located next to the pool. Guests can use the pool facilities too before and after their treatments. Then, head downstairs to eat, drink and be merry. They’ve got a special offer going on until 28 February 2017: if you book an Elemis modern reveal facial or a 90-minute massage, you’ll receive a free Elemis eye treatment or 30-minute foot massage.
Poolside festive menu
Guests of the Spa and Hotel can relax and enjoy a few festive treats, poolside! Choose from turkey sliders with semi-dried tomato pesto and mozzarella or angus beef sliders with mustard mayonnaise and gherkin, whilst chilling in one of the luxury cabanas, lime mojito or cosmopolitan in hand.
