Spa and golf: The Andaman, Langkawi, Malaysia

In a nutshell:

The Andaman is a Luxury Collection Resort located in a dramatic tropical setting on Langkawi, tucked away between ancient rainforest and the tranquil Datai Bay that’s fringed with an 8,000-year-old coral reef. With its abundant wildlife and exotic flora, the surrounding nature is a real highlight of The Andaman, and the resort activities are designed to let guests explore its beauty.

What to expect:

The rainforest might be old, but you’ll feel much younger after a visit to award-winning spa, V Integrated Wellness. Perched on a hill with breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea, the treatments are inspired by the “Tree of Life”, a metaphor for the interconnectedness of all living things.

The Els Club Teluk Datai, meanwhile, is every golfer’s paradise and is just a few minutes’ drive from the resort. The course was designed by former world number one Ernie Els, and boasts views of the ocean and limestone peaks.

Good to know:

Currently on offer is a golf and spa package called “A Hole in One”, including daily buffet breakfast for two, free Wi-Fi, and a daily round of golf (including cart, personalised golf bag tag and more) or an 80-minute spa treatment (plus 15 percent off additional treatments). Rates start from MYR1,250 (S$420) per room for single occupancy, MYR1,690 ($570) for double occupancy. Valid for stays up to 22 December 2015.
