Here at Expat Living, we’re always looking for the best dining deals in Singapore – and if a deal is available at a rooftop bar with an amazing view, even better! That’s why we were excited to discover that Propeller Bar, a breezy HarbourFront watering hole, has just launched a fabulous free-flow package offering all-you-can-eat-and-drink food and alcohol at the wallet-friendly price of $58 per person. Read on for the details!
Merrier Hours at Propeller
Happening at Bay Hotel Singapore’s very own Propeller Bar from Tuesdays to Saturdays 5pm, the three-hour-long fiesta is something you won’t want to miss. Included in the deal are unlimited draught beers, house spirits, house wines and grub, with a range of new items available on the food and cocktail menus. The eats on offer change daily, but you can expect salads, cheese and charcuterie platters, canapes, two types of pizzas, and six hot items, ranging from seared beef cubes to mussels in Thai sweet chilli sauce and sliced dory in lemon butter sauce. It’s a veritable feast!
The bar has also launched a wider selection of à la carte items, too, if you’re not keen on the free-flow. Must-tries include Propeller’s marmite chicken with Dorito chips pizza ($18), a new savoury-meets-sweet combination featuring an intriguing combo of ingredients. For something more classic, opt for the seafood pizza ($19). Mains include hearty dishes such as Indonesian grilled chicken with vegetables and lamb rack with roasted potatoes ($14.90).
Led by head bartender Taufiq Jumat, the new cocktail menu features nine creative concoctions that pay homage to various Wonders of the World. We’re most curious about My Ah Gong’s Temper ($17), an intense Angkor Wat-inspired drink featuring rum spiced with a selection of Khmer flavours, Dom liqueur, Jägermeister and vermouth. If you’re a fan of a lassi, try Touch My Heart ($15), a rum-based kiwi lassi inspired by the magnificent Taj Mahal.
As the first rooftop bar in the HarbourFront area, the travel-themed cocktail restaurant bar nails initial impressions with sweeping, stunning panoramic views of Keppel Bay and Sentosa. Arrive at sundown and grab a comfy lounge or cosy corner to take in the views in this breezy open-air space. If you prefer, there’s an indoor air-conditioned seating area for rainy evenings.
